I can’t say enough good things about Wyndell- Not only does he take good care of his customers he also backs it up with helping serve the Tucson community (especially through sports & youth). Been coming to JT Auto since they we at Grant location & have followed them to Ft Lowell & now to 22nd street! Every visit has been fantastic. They’re honest, thorough & take the time to explain what’s going on without pushing unnecessary repairs. It’s rare to find a mechanic you can truly trust — highly recommend them! Other people I know have also shared positive experiences. JT Auto always goes above & beyond for their customers!
I came in with a flat tire and they patched it up quickly and thoroughly. I would've paid $30ish for the service like at most places, but they didn't charge me. Friendly and professional staff. I'll def hit them up in the future for any auto maintenance
I arrived at the new Eastside location, was greeted by a friendly and smiling staff, they provided me with a diagnostic report of my issue and a fair price. I have to confess that I got a quote from another place that was two times the amount JT Auto quoted, so I was happy to deal with them. They dropped me off at work and a few hours later my car was good as new. It was my A/C compressor and now JT Auto has got me rolling in coo air in this AZ heat. Thanks from a 100% satisfied customer!
!!!PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING TO JT AUTO!!! I was selling my Toyota Highlander, and the person purchasing the vehicle requested for a mechanical inspection. I took the vehicle to JT auto, and after the inspection, they informed me and the buyer that my radiator was punctured by a screw that did not belong there. There were other small issues but this was the issue that they pointed out as being the most serious and significant. They quoted the customer a ridiculous amount to change the radiator. The whole basis for claiming that the radiator was punctured was because of coolant stains on the side of the radiator and beneath the oil pan. The other issues, JT auto claimed that needed attention was the battery, which was weird, because that was changed only seven months ago. They claimed the tires were below minimum specifications, which is also weird because that was changed not even 10 days before taking it to them. And claimed that we needed a tuneup on that was done two years / 23,000 mile ago. I took the vehicle to my personal mechanic and asked him to take a look, he showed me that the screw that JT auto claimed punctured the radiator in fact, belong there, and that the radiator was not punctured. I push my mechanic to find the source of the radiator, coolant leak and stains. He discovered that it was a faulty radiator cap. This leads me to believe two scenarios that either JT auto was aware that the screw belonged there and was attempting to make a quick buck. The second was that they were so incompetent that they were unaware that the radiator cap was causing the leak. Either way, do not take your vehicle to them. They’re either so incompetent that they will fail to diagnose the correct issue, or they will try to make a quick buck off you.
I have 2 daily drivers and 2 classic cars. I try to do the majority of the work on the cars myself, but sometimes the labor, effort or experience required is outside of my abilities. JT Auto and Wendell's quotes and prices for work and parts have always been spot on what I was expecting to pay before I went for the estimate. They also stand behind their estimate. I've met many of their techs. All good people. Sometimes they find more things that require attention and they've never been wrong. They have found other issues with my cars I didn't know about until I saw it for myself and they saved me more grief in the future. It's hard to find good shops and the only negative thing I can say is that their honest business model will eventually make them too busy for me to be able to get my own cars in.
