They close at 7pm on Saturday. Just walked over there at 5:30pm and they're closed. I get if it's slow and you want to send your employees home early but it's pretty frustrating for your customers. Next time log into google and change your hours for that day. Unless you don't have ownership rights of the Jubilation google listing (which you can get easily).
I was looking for a specific whiskey and Dillon went above and beyond to try and locate it for me. He then called me back later to tell me the update he received on it. This is what you definitely call customer service at its finest. Jubilation is extremely lucky to have Dillon on their team. Thank you again!!
A Mixologist's Rave: VIP Treatment at Jubilation Wine & Spirits – The Holy Grail for Rare Elixir Hunters As a dedicated mixologist specializing in exotic cocktails that push the boundaries of flavor with hard-to-source ingredients, I'm always on the prowl for those elusive bottles that can elevate a drink from ordinary to legendary. Think infusions of rare botanicals from remote corners of the world or aged liqueurs that whisper secrets of forgotten recipes. So when I set my sights on Amaro Nonino Quintessentia Riserva – a barrel-aged Italian amaro that's notoriously allocated and limited in distribution, with only a few thousand bottles hitting the U.S. market annually – I knew it would be a quest. This gem, with its rich notes of rhubarb, flamed orange, caramelized vanilla, and balsamic herbs, is perfect for crafting sophisticated twists on classics like the Paper Plane or my own alpine-inspired digestifs. Enter Jubilation Wine & Spirits in Albuquerque, New Mexico – a beacon for spirit enthusiasts that's been hailed as one of the best liquor stores in the state, boasting an extensive selection of fine wines, craft beers, and premium spirits. My experience there wasn't just shopping; it was pure VIP treatment that redefined customer service in the world of rare libations. It all started with a simple email inquiry about the Amaro Nonino Riserva. In a market where this limited-edition riserva (aged over 24 months in oak barriques for that extra depth and elegance) is often snapped up by bars and collectors before it hits shelves, I wasn't optimistic. But Jubilation's team responded immediately – within minutes! – confirming they had the nearly impossible-to-source product in stock, along with precise pricing details and their store hours. This lightning-fast, accurate communication set a new reference standard for outstanding customer support, especially when dealing with allocated items that could vanish in a heartbeat. Upon arriving at their welcoming location on the corner of Lomas and Carlisle, I was greeted by what I affectionately dub the "hospitable counter intelligence agents" – the knowledgeable staff who are the heart of Jubilation. Their expertise and warmth made me feel like a valued insider, not just another customer. But the real magic happened when I mentioned my quest for two bottles. Enter Tasha Zonski-Armijo, the CEO herself (and daughter of owners John and Carol Zonski), who had personally set aside the allocated stock behind the counter just for me. In a world where rare spirits like this are often first-come, first-served, Tasha's proactive gesture – holding those precious bottles to ensure I could secure them – was nothing short of heroic. Jubilation isn't just a store; it's a haven for those of us chasing the extraordinary. Their commitment to sourcing premium, hard-to-find items like this riserva, combined with unparalleled service from the ground level to the top, has earned them accolades like being named one of the 50 Best Beer Stores in America and multiple "Best Liquor Store" awards in Albuquerque. If you're a fellow mixologist, sommelier, or simply a connoisseur of the finer things, do yourself a favor and visit Jubilation. They've set the bar so high, it's practically in the stratosphere. Five stars – and a toast to Tasha and her team!
I LOVE this local Spirits store!!! It is so wonderful Jubilation still stands, as so much has closed in my beloved University hood and knowing it still anchors and serves the community is heart warming!!! Everyone who works there is kind and so helpful and it's fun to meander the aisles looking for that Just Right Beverage! Yum
Said they don't carry "cheap wine" like barefoot because it's bad but I ain't looking for good wine, I'm looking to get drunk. If I wanted good wine I would go somewhere more reputable like Total Wine which caters to all it's customers, not just the snobby ones. Stop supporting jubilations, there is a reason they are shutting down stores, they are the worst liquor store in the valley. Hell even Kelly's is better.
