We had the pleasure of boarding our beautiful boy, Gary with JJ multiple times over the past four or five years, and the experience has always been top-notch. Even after moving to the Hill Country, we made it a point to bring Gary back to this facility because of the exceptional care and love he received while there. But what truly set them apart and why I'm finally compelled to write a review is the kindness and compassion they showed us during the most difficult time - when we lost our guy to prostate cancer recently, the staff's empathy and support meant the world to us. If you're looking for a trustworthy, caring and truly special boarding facility, look no further. If/when we're lucky enough to have another doggy in our life down the track, this is where we'll return - every time.
I’m long overdue in writing this review mostly because words could never fully capture how special this place is and how wonderful the people here are. If you’re looking for a safe, loving, and genuinely joyful place for your dog, Jumping Jack Dog Ranch is the place to go. The team cares for each dog with the kind of thoughtfulness, attention to detail, and compassion that every dog owner dreams of finding. Not to mention, your dog is going to have an absolute BLAST! My dog, Tim, literally cries with excitement the moment he realizes where we’re headed. When I leave town, it feels great knowing I don’t have to worry about Tim. From the moment you sign up, the staff takes the time to learn all about your dog through detailed questions to make sure they’re prepared to meet your dog’s unique needs. They also give you a personal tour of the facility (which is spotless btw!) so that you can see exactly where and how your dog will spend their time. The “evaluation day” was one of my favorite parts of the process. The staff put in 110% effort to understand Tim, how he plays, how he communicates, and what makes him comfortable. At the end of the day, I received a personalized video diary recapping everything, which made me feel so included in the process. Based on their observations, they placed Tim into a small playgroup that matched his personality and play style. This thoughtful approach means dogs who are more laidback don’t get overwhelmed, and the more energetic dogs have equally enthusiastic playmates. The staff goes above and beyond with every little detail. They make sure dogs stay cool in the Texas heat, whether it’s with their big swimming pool or little kiddie ice pools out in the field. They also give regular rest breaks so the dogs don’t get overstimulated or overtired. At the end of each day, you receive a report card of your dog’s day with them. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve laughed and smiled looking at the photos I’ve received. And if your dog is staying overnight, you can rest easy knowing they’ll sleep in a quiet, calm, and cozy room with staff always on site for added peace of mind. Tim is naturally timid with new places and people, but here, his confidence comes to life! I couldn’t be more grateful for this place and its amazing team. Thank you times a million!
We did a pool rental with our two dogs.. The space was wonderful.. The pool area was much larger than I expected with some shaded areas, a picnic table and a bench swing hanging from a tree. Our dogs had a great time. One of them can be a little reactive towards new dogs so we're cautious about letting her off leash on any trails.. It was so great to be able to take her somewhere she could run, get in the water, be safe and I could relax.. 10/10, will be back.
I've been bringing my dog Nori to Jumping Jack since early 2022 and they're the best!! Every time I bring her by she's so excited to be there and doesn't even look back at me :). I first found Jumping Jack because I saw they could accommodate dog-reactive dogs AND that they have staff who live on site/near the facility in case of emergencies. I've loved Jumping Jack and recommended them to my parents who live out of town, and they are now big fans as well. Our family dog had a recent surgery and was still recovering, and I really felt like I could trust the staff to take good care of her. Huge bonus is that they send us photos everyday and even dressed the dogs up for Valentine's day :) They do a great job with grooming as well! Everyone is so friendly, professional, and kind and I highly recommend Jumping Jack to anyone looking for a trustworthy place - just keep in mind that your dog may end up liking them more than they like you 😂
Literally the greatest place to take your dog and her friends! Had the best pool dog party for my dog and her friends! The pool was great the dogs loved it! There is also a big area for the dogs to run around in. The staff was also the kindest and made everything perfect. I will be coming back here and recommend anyone to take their dogs here!!!
