Not the best experience at the property located besides their office in Manchester (Zenith house, chapel street). Some of the Issues that we experienced were: • Strong odour present during the first viewing with Alice McDonald, Lettings Consultant, with assurances it would be removed by cleaning. It was never fixed. • Kash Asif, the property manager, blamed previous tenants for the smell in a way that felt borderline racist and highly unprofessional. • Basic issues such as non working bulbs, debris and cracks in the main bathroom, sharp smell all over the flat. Issues were blamed on a builder rather than being resolved properly. • Excessive cleaning charges quoted at checkout, forcing us to use the Deposit Protection Scheme. • Poor handling and lack of accountability from senior management, including Gagan, who is both the Data Protection Officer and company owner. Advice for other tenants: • Do not hesitate to use the Deposit Protection Scheme if deductions seem unfair. We used this and reduces their unfair cleaning fees. • Always ask for cleaning fee reciept BEFORE your move in. • Take clear photo and video evidence before and after moving in • Save your check in,check out reports and emails because they will deny any allegation you make later. Overall service was okayish, the move in move out both were stress free. But the property itself was handled incompetently and caused unnecessary stress. I've rented in the U.K for 6 years and have heard good reviews about Kaytons and lots of friends have rented from them. However, this specific property was just bad accomapnied with bad management. Just be vary of the property, dont rush the move in before the issues have been addressed.
Had a great experience with Kaytons, from the first call to viewing, speed of setting everything up, great communication, very understanding and accommodating agents such as Naomi.
