Knowing that my wife has admired antique Edwardian dragonfly brooches for years, I decided this Christmas was going to be the year her dream became reality. In the process of doing my “due diligence” regarding the reputation and customer satisfaction metrics of jewelers who specialize in antique jewelry, I came to understand that Lang Antique & Estate Jewelry’s reputation is stellar and their customer satisfaction unsurpassed. Having done my “homework”, the next step was to visit Lang’s website to check their inventory. Immediately, I recognized the broad scope and high quality of Lang’s inventory of antique jewelry and was pleasantly surprised to see that their Christmas sale was in progress. I was also impressed by the detail in their descriptions and adherence to the highest professional standards in grading and describing the goods. After identifying a candidate Edwardian dragonfly brooch, I formulated several questions and submitted them in an email to Lang. After submission of my questions, Tracey McGrath prompt contacted me and answered all my questions with good detail. After this iteration of questions, I followed-up with a second set of questions for Tracey that necessitated her taking images of the brooch, in both visible and ultraviolet light. Within a hour, Tracey sent me the requested images which solidified my decision to purchase this piece. After purchasing the piece Tracey and I talked to schedule a delivery to my residence which Tracey flawlessly executed. I especially appreciated that Lang’s includes complementary FedEx Priority shipping with purchases to minimize transit time and stress concerning the possibility of a lost package with irreplaceable contents. In conclusion, I can recommend both Lang’s and Tracey without reservation and look forward to doing business with them again in the near future. Lang is truly in a class of their own. This was my second purchase from them, and once again the experience was outstanding. A wonderful experience at Lang Antique just a week ago. My partner and I were on a weeks-long hunt for the perfect engagement ring and walked into Lang's unassuming store on Sutter St. on a Saturday morning. The team, especially Natalia and Ed, were prepared and had us walking out of the store with a ring in the next hour. Lang's exquisite collection is worth a visit just for its sheer variety. The team is knowledgeable, have a great intuition of customers' taste, and aren't pushy in the least. Never thought I'd be saying this, but I look forward to being back in the future!
I have shopped with Lang for twenty years. They have even done some small custom pieces for me. I was able to purchase a beautiful art deco ring. So much prettier than any "new" piece.
