I’ve been going to Left Bank Nail Spa for a little over a year now, and this was my first truly disappointing experience. I was charged $90 for a gel manicure on my natural nails, no tips or added length. While the nail tech was kind and did a decent job on the manicure itself, I was very concerned about cleanliness. The tools used on me were not clean. Old nail files were reused, and the cuticle nippers came out of a sterilizer bag that appeared to have already been used. For a service priced at $90, proper sanitation should be non negotiable. Nail files are disposable for a reason, and all tools should be fully sterilized for every client. Additionally, the service menu states that a signature manicure includes an arm and neck massage, which I did not receive. I wouldn’t mind paying $90 if the service reflected top tier cleanliness and attention to detail, but unfortunately, this experience did not meet that standard. I hope management takes sanitation and service consistency more seriously moving forward.
my friend and I are regulars at this spa, but last time we went we had a poor experience. On Tuesday we went and I decided to do a chrome color, and the color that was put on was completely different, we went back and forth on changing the color, and decided to go a different route. I completely understand the mixup and wasn’t upset about that, but the tech I had was clearly irritated that I changed my mind and was argumentative that it was the same color, even though it clearly wasn’t. and took it out on the rest of the service, the manager was very nice but had also said that the swabs had gotten mixed up before and that it happened to other clients, after being there for almost 3 hours. I ended up being charged fully and saw the prices increased than last time I went which I understand, but all of it ended up ruining the experience. My friend also has chipped nails after it only being a few days, so we left disappointed. I’d been looking forward to coming back for nails for my birthday but left frustrated and not what I wanted. The first photo shows “blk8” which was the color I’d wanted (purple) the second was the original color on (mostly green/pink) and the last is what I left with.
They have the viral metallic nails ask for Rose. She did an amazing job. I love the color. It’s super moody and they’ve got fall colors if you’re looking for something interesting.
LOVE the color options. Management Romeo is amazing, nail tech Toby is always 10/10. 4 years here now and never a disappointment. Always offers new color options.
My nails came out beautiful and the shape….magnificent! They could not find the color I chose but I was satisfied with the new color. The issue is that my cuticles were cut incorrectly and caused me much pain that I am still experiencing even after 5 days. Every time I wash my hands, which is frequently I am reminded of the pain. The nail tech did a great job on making sure the bleeding stopped but I’m hurting.
