Loved this place! Came for a xmas gift and left with 3 vinyls. Prices were pretty fair! Nice and organized. Looking for specific ones was pretty simple. Staff was helpful and polite.
Love this place. They are friendly ive bought and sold records and record players. I always find something badass
I went in for the first time, I’m never in Lincoln considering I live an hour and a half away in a different state. I walked in and browsed the vinyls, good collection but pricey. I asked an elderly woman who was working if I could possibly buy the Nine Inch Nails poster I saw on their wall, she said yeah it wasn’t a problem, she checked in the poster rack that is behind the counter under the register and realized there weren’t any left so she asked the owner if she could just take the one left off the wall for me. He gave a snotty attitude saying “no, I’m ordering more at some point.” Honestly ruined my day considering I have a deep, and I mean DEEP attachment to Nine Inch Nails plus I have borderline personality disorder, (an emotional dysregulation disorder) I was easily pissed off when the guy said that. Like I understand it was the last one left but instead of telling the worker that snotty answer, he could’ve been more polite saying “sorry I can’t sell it since it’s the only one in the store and I’d like to keep it for display” or something like that, the nice elderly woman apologized to me twice. My sibling ended up getting a Frank Ocean poster there, it’s a cool store but I wouldn’t go in there again. I’m rating this 3 stars because it’s a nice place, it’s not claustrophobic in there and there is a WIDE selection, I love how the walls are covered in posters, and the elderly woman is really sweet, she is the nicest person I’ve ever met honest to god. Would’ve been a higher rating if the vinyls weren’t really pricey and if I had a better experience. (I’ve put a picture of the poster I was trying to buy. I now have to spend almost $25 just to get this poster off of Amazon, which is $15 more than what the store was charging for it.)
Almost as soon as I walked in the door I was pulling vinyl out and starting a stack. I left with several records and could have bought several more. Excellent store, the staff was really friendly and knowledgeable, everything was clean and people seemed to really care. Pricing was extremely fair, which is less and less common these days. It also felt fresh and bright and was hoppin with people. It didn't feel like you were in some old guys basement picking through his stuff as he breathed heavier and louder than the air conditioner and stared you down like you would even dream of stealing his garbage in the first place (a store in Omaha, guess which one). Seriously though, I found some great deals on some great unusual selections and would make it a point of stopping here anytime I was anywhere near the area. In fact, I'd skip Omaha all together and just buy my records in Lincoln.
Great experience at Lincoln Vintage Vinyl....was looking for Buddy Holly specifically and a Rare Earth album. I bought the Rare Earth piece then left to another record store.......thinking right away I didn't check out Buddy Holly records, so I returned......guess what, because of their excellent selection I found two very good finds, and was very happy. The Store is very well organized and the album separators have the name in logo fashion on the end so you can easily see now only what letter you are searching in, but can see the band names....classy, I think. If I lived in Lincoln or surrounding area, that would be one of my mandatory stops every time I went hunting albums. Nice people too. Highly recommend Lincoln Vintage Vinyl.
