The people are pretty helpful in reccomending what to get, checkout was quick despite the line to the door, and I like the coffee shop atmosphere. I asked other customers in line for reccomendations and went home with 20$ worth of things. I was told to try anything with their Bavarian cream, so I got a cream puff. Cupcakes are moist- i really liked the peanutbutter one, cookies are crisp, chewy, and flavorful, the chocolate cream puff was super yummy too! I also got a dirty chai cupcake, not thinking through the fact that I hate coffee. But the chai flavor in the whip cream (?) was so yummy, I went for it. It didnt really taste like coffee at all so it was just a nice spiced vanilla cupcake, but then at the very end I got a bite of light coffee like a pallete cleanser. I was surprised by how much I loved that part. If you like coffee you probably won't taste it, but if you dislike coffee I highly reccomend trying this one anyway! Glad I finally got to try this place, I always drive by it, will definitely be back to try the seasonal teas too.
Literally the best place to get a cake. Every single time I bring a Ludgers cake to the birthday gathering, its special. The cake is always moist, the flavors are incredible, the Bavarian filling just adds something super special. I love that when I don't plan and need a small cake to feed 10-15 people, Ludgers has a great grab and go cake that they can personalize. They also have individual baked items in the case, along with some food options and drinks.
Asked them to make a Five Nights at Freddy's cake for my son's 15th birthday... and boy did they ever!!! Couldn't be more happy with how it turned out! Super friendly staff as well! I hated to cut the cake at his party, cause it was like destroying a work of art....but it was SUPER delicious!!! A+++ ... will recommend to everyone I know!!!
Great place for all kinds of bakery and cakes and deliciousness! Highly recommended! We stop here every time I'm in town! I love their spinach croissants! Best Red Velvet cake ever: delish filling of whipped cream mousse and chocolate mousse, the red velvet layers were dense but not too hard, well balanced and moist.
I got the almond croissant and the half sandwich (turkey melt) half salad. The salad was probably the best part. The almond croissant was alright, but very dry and cakey rather than buttery and flakey like how I prefer a croissant to be. The filling was underwhelming, a very dense icing consistency with heavy almond extract flavor. The croissant itself without the filling had no flavor. The turkey melt surprised me, it was nice and warm and flavorful, but had too much bread and not enough meat and veggies. It was overloaded with mayonnaise based sauce, but the toast was pretty good - just tasted like a basic white bread and was easy to chew. I wish I had ordered a couple more things to try, I’d love to give this place another shot, I’m sure that their cakes are delicious and light. The atmosphere was accommodating, with napkins and water and other things that were easy to locate. The restroom had a baby changing station with wipes and air spray, and there was plenty of naturally lit seating. I tried the croissant again after eating my other food (minus the breading) and it tasted worse the second time, considering I was no longer hungry.
