I came to this firm seeking help for a very simple legal matter involving one legally prescribed oxycodone pill. What l've experienced instead has been disturbing, unprofessional, and deeply unethical. One of the attorneys assigned to me, Kevin, crossed personal and professional boundaries that no attorney ever should. The firm owner, Vincent, was made aware of these boundary violations and insisted that I remain with the firm despite my discomfort and warnings that this would not end well. I expressed multiple times that I was afraid of professional retaliation if I tried to distance myself after emotional entanglement had developed - and that is exactly what happened. Over the past several days, I have received aggressive, threatening, and demeaning messages from Kevin. My trauma and abuse history have been mocked and thrown back in my face. Personal things I shared in confidence were used against me in cruel and manipulative ways. When my psychologist wrote a factual letter stating that I needed a continuance due to the emotional distress caused by this firm's conduct, Kevin called him directly --on his personal cell phone -- and attempted to intimidate him into retracting his statement. My psychologist described him as unhinged and slurring his words, with no professional introduction. This is exactly why ethical lines exist between clients and attorneys. Once those lines are crossed, the result is exploitation, intimidation, and emotional harm. I am now left feeling unsafe, unsupported, and professionally compromised by the very people I hired to protect me.
