Mellow Vibes truly worked magic on our stubborn 2-month-old Goldendoodle! As first-time puppy parents, we were overwhelmed and thought training would be easier — until we met Paul and his wonderful family. They’re so kind, patient, and genuinely love what they do. Our pup now listens, follows commands, and behaves so well. We feel completely confident leaving her with them whenever we travel. It’s a loving, family-run business where every dog is treated like their own. Highly recommend Mellow Vibes! 🐾❤️
Our dog Rocky is a golden doodle. He is six turning seven and I took him to Paul as a last resort. I started thinking that I would have to rehome him. He was never an aggressive dog, he just wasn’t always very obedient. He just stopped listening to me and I couldn’t walk him anymore and he started counter surfing and just not gelling with my family. After spending four weeks with Paul and his family, we have a brand new improved dog. He came back with his same silly personality, but he now respects me and our daughter. We are able to walk him without him lunging at other dogs/bikes/humans. He doesn’t bark when we leave the house. People can enter our house without him, jumping all over them. He now gives us the ball when playing. I can’t think Paul and the team enough. We still have work to do within our house and reminding Rocky who is boss. But now my daughter can walk him. I can walk him and I really enjoy being with him all of the time. With a few tweaks from Paul, we now have the dog we’ve always wanted. Thank you.
We took our 3 year old golden doodle, Jack, to Mellow Vibes for some minor behavioural challenges that were becoming more frustrating. From our initial phone consultation we became very optimistic that Paul could help us. He identified that barking at the door and pulling on the leash were signs that Jack thought of himself as above us in the hierarchy of the household. He then named a few other behaviours that supported the same theory, all of which Jack did. Jack was with them for just over 3 weeks and we missed him dearly, but it was very reassuring to know they were thorough with his training so we would see the results we hoped for. He seemed quite happy there, with lots of play and social time, it was clear they care deeply for the dogs. Mellow Vibes knows dog behaviour- it is amazing what they are able to accomplish with dog training and how they taught us to continue the dynamic. The training is very holistic, they address all sorts of behaviours as they learn more about the dog. Jack came home with a renewed confidence in social settings and generally seems less unsure of new people and dogs. As Paul said, the things they taught us were not difficult, but many were not intuitive and it really helped to have a fresh start where we were on the same page as Jack about expectations. We learned so much from Paul and Boysie at our pickup training session and received very attentive continued support as we readjusted to life at home. It’s been incredibly valuable to be able to text any questions as we navigate new situations. We feel like we understand Jack now and the ways our communication was confusing him. He is an absolute joy to walk, he no longer pulls or scavenges, and he seems much more content. We can’t recommend Mellow Vibes enough- they know exactly what they’re doing and have a system that works. And they are wonderfully kind caring people who want dogs to live lives free from anxiety and confusion.
Paul was an incredible trainer for our 4 year old miniature golden doodle (Cain) who needed proper training for her reactivity with other dogs and general obedience (Cain thought she was the leader of the house). She did the board and train program for ~4 weeks and came home a more relaxed, trustworthy, and obedient dog. Paul gave us the right tools and techniques to continue the training at home. We continue to have phone calls with Paul when we have questions or aren’t sure how to train in specific situations. Thank you Paul for all of your help!!
We were very hesitant to take our 10 pound 10 month old Boston terrier to mellow vibes. But after trying a couple of different training methods on our extremely aggressive and anxiety filled little dog, we felt we had no choice. Before taking Gibson to Mellow Vibes, he would run after any visitor we had in our home or on our property attempting to nip them. This obviously made our friends very hesitant to come over and filled with anxiety themselves when he was around. After staying at Mellow Vibes for one month, Gibson came back a very different dog.He is much calmer and listens to us a lot more.w We finally have the tools and knowledge to better control our dog’s anxiety. We are able to have guests over and Gibson has little or no negative reaction at all now. We continue to see him improve as we use the methods and expertise that Paul has shared with us.
