Melody Tree Studios en San Pablo ofrece piano y violín con Rachel, y guitarra, batería y composición con Shawn, en 1477 Ashland Ave. Son conocidos por su paciencia, amabilidad y comunicación receptiva; los instructores adaptan las lecciones a cada niño y celebran los avances. La escuela organiza recitales regulares: dos veces al año, además de un evento exclusivo para estudiantes, y talleres, con clases en grupos pequeños e individuales y opciones virtuales flexibles durante la pandemia.

Rachel and Shawn are most excellent instructors. Rachel teaches piano and violin. Shawn teaches guitar, drums, and song writing. They host regular recitals where one gets to see the progress of all of their students. Our child currently has Rachel for piano lessons. Rachel has been very adept at finding ways to teach a frequently stubborn learner.
Rachel is an amazing teacher. She is so in tune with her students’ needs. She helps them find music they love and are excited to play, she communicates with them respectfully (she is very talented at guiding shy/quiet kids), and always keeps learning something new fun and engaging. My children, who are very different in their learning styles, love taking both piano and violin lessons at Melody Tree Studios.
Several years ago, my twins began taking piano lessons from Rachel at Melody Tree Studios. She has been truly amazing and is the perfect teacher for my kids. When my son began showing interest in songwriting, Rachel started him off and alternated piano with songwriting. Later, Rachel's husband, Sean, began offering songwriting lessons, so my son began taking separate lessons with Sean in addition to piano with Rachel. I have been very so impressed with the songs my son has written so far under Sean's mentorship. Sean is patient and rather than writing the melodies and lyrics for my son, he guides and steers him in the right direction. Sean has introduced him to various chord progressions, helped him understand lyrics and rhyme, and helped foster my son's natural talent. I am so pleased to say that one of my son's songs recently made the top 10 in the Song Academy Young Songwriter's Competition for the International 8-12 year old category. He couldn't have done it without Sean's guidance and inspiration! Thank you Sean and Rachel for the love and care you've given our kids over the years. You are the best!
My son has been taking piano lessons at Melody Tree Studios for almost three years now. Rachel is kind and patient with my son and he continues to enjoy his lessons. Melody Tree Studios has been flexible during the pandemic, quickly pivoting to virtual lessons in 2020 and offering in-person lessons once life opened up again. Small group and individual lessons have been available. Rachel offers regular recitals and workshops to keep the children engaged. I would highly recommend Melody Tree Studios.
Rachel es una profesora fantástica. Ella es paciente, amable y atenta. Mi hija empezó las lecciones de piano con Rachel hace tres años, cuando aún estaba en kínder. Ella siempre disfruta ir a sus lecciones y ha mostrado un progreso maravilloso. Como familia, nos encanta asistir a los recitales dos veces al año y a mi hija le gusta el recital especial “solo para estudiantes” que se celebra anualmente.
