I had a great experience with Dr. Stacy Kon at Mend Acupuncture in Los Feliz. I felt comfortable with her right away. She was very upfront regarding not being part of any insurance group and that I would need to submit out of network to my plan. Honestly, I can only imagine all the technicalities one has to struggle through to run a healthcare space, so they can open their doors to help people. You can feel this is her calling and she approaches her care for patients whole heartedly. Her sessions are very affordable, individualized, and she is very generous with her time and attention. She suggests some options of supplements in a very easy going manner. I felt each treatment was catered to my individual fragilities -- I even had a personalized hypnosis session. Also the treatments helped me delve deep and relax and process the work I am doing in therapy. I have very memorable heart to heart interactions from my sessions with Dr. Stacy. I think she is a lovely human. I hope to have more healing sessions soon.
I've been seeing Stacy weekly for a few months now after chemotherapy left me with nerve damage in my hands, lower legs, and feet. She always makes me feel like the most important person in the world! She really listens to everything I tell her and changes things up as my symptoms change. I tried other acupuncture closer to where I live, but I never felt listened to. Peripheral neuropathy is a slow healing process with lots of ups and downs, but I've often seen such clear improvement after her treatments that I won't do without them now despite how far away I live from her office. Thanks Stacy!
