Milk + Sugar is not the place to go if you’re looking for basic flavors and that’s exactly why it’s so good. Their whole vibe is built around the idea that life is too short for plain vanilla, and they truly live up to it. All of the ice cream and mix-ins are made in-house, and the flavors are creative, modern, and fun. Think brownie chunks, pieces of cake, seasonal ingredients, and unique combinations you won’t find anywhere else. Every flavor is exclusive to Milk + Sugar, and you can tell a lot of thought goes into them. The day I went, the flavor selection was stacked Brown Butter Brown Sugar, Dulce de Horchata, Ube (vegan), Thai Tea Yum Cha, PB Cookies & Cream, and more. I ordered the Cereal Milk, and it genuinely tasted like the real thing nostalgic but elevated. So good. Parking can be a little limited in the lot behind the shop, but it was empty when I went, so no issues that day. Definitely check their Instagram for seasonal flavors, including dairy-free options. This is the kind of place you go when you want something different, indulgent, and thoughtfully made.
Exceptional ice cream with primarily unique flavors from around the world (15, with 1 or 2 vegan), great portions and value (2 large scoops for $8) and ample seating. My favorite shop in Texas, very strongly recommend. We got multiple flavors and our favorites were the Yumcha (Chrysanthemum and Pandan ice cream), Rain or Shine (Earl grey with honey and lemon) and the vegan Ube. The flavors were spot on and ice cream was of perfect sweetness. They also got really good merch and I got a T-shirt.
They have a range of flavors. Dulce de horchata and pb cookies & creme were my favorite. The staff were friendly and they were quick. Parking is a little tricky. Giving 4 stars because of pricing but other than that everyone was good
The flavors are unique and tasty, but since I’m basic I got Sunday Fun dae. It’s like vanilla with brownie mixed in. I found parking fast and free. Their cones are good, and it was refreshing to see a fun busy ice cream shop in Houston.
I would give it one star if I could….just because of how mad I get that it’s so freakin delicious!!!! Don’t know what to get? Ask Hak, best scooper of all time. He will get you the best recommendation and service you’ll receive and the delicious 5-star flavor your belly didn’t know it needed.
