Moore & Sons has done a great job for us personally and professionally when it comes to furniture finishing and restoration. They are much more competitively priced than other refinishing businesses in town and in our experience do a phenomenal job with reliable, old-school integrity. They are always the first names to come to mind for refinishing needs and we look forward to working with them in the future.
I rarely post reviews, but the work of Moore & Sons merits notice. My Steinway was badly gouged during a move, and Moore & Sons repaired it so well that I now can't even tell where the damage was. I can't recommend them more highly—not only for the quality of their work, but because they were thoroughly professional to deal with. thank you, Moore & Sons!
Beautiful work! You cannot get a nicer father and son team. Expect it to take some time. I am sure they would discuss rushing but would not agree if it would affect quality or the time depends supplies to be ordered. I have had more than one piece if furniture done both with and without upholstery. Don't bother to go if you are not willing to pay for a quality job. On the other hand, I didn't pay any more for them than a bigger group on the other side of town that did a poor job which had to be redone.
We have a 30 year old dining set that was custom made for our house. The chairs were in terrible shape. The leather was completely worn, and the padding in the chairs was gone. When we sat in the chairs, we could feel the bottom of the chairs. We called Moore & Sons to fix them up. They walked us through different options for material and padding. The set came out better than we would have expected. Prior to having the set fixed up, we had looked into replacing the chairs, but it would have cost a small fortune because the dining set was custom made. Moore was very reasonable. (The brown chairs are the before pictures. The ivory are the after). Once we saw what fantastic work they did, we called them back on some very old chairs and cube ottomans that we had. The material was completely worn out, and the cushions were flattened. (Burgundy pic are the before and teal are the after). We are absolutely thrilled with how everything came out. These guys really care about the work they do, and their work is meticulous. I highly recommend them.
