I scheduled a 7:30 AM appointment at Mr. Tire and arrived exactly on time. Unfortunately, the technicians don’t even arrive until 8:00 AM, so I’m not sure why 7:30 appointments are available if no one is there to actually service the car. I only had a screw in my tire, and based on placement it had a very high chance of being repairable with a simple plug. Instead, the tire was replaced, costing me over $200 when a plug likely would have been enough. The whole visit took about 50 minutes. While the staff was polite and the job was completed, I left feeling like the repair was unnecessary and that clearer communication about technician hours and repair options would have gone a long way.
I bought tires from here. Came back to get an alignment and a tie rod done. This is basic work and they absolutely failed on it. They stripped out said tie rod and and while the manager took care of it for free, my car doesn't feel very safe to drive on the freeway and now I have to take it somewhere else to see what they did to my car. Before this transpired the manager tried to charge me $1,200 to fix other all of my tie rod ends. Tie rod ends cost between 8 and $40. Do not come here to get your car worked on.
3 appointments to get tires put on new wheels. First appointment I was told he didn’t know what size tires I need. Second appointment they didn’t have the right size Allen key. Third appointment the tires went on, drove one minute down the road and two of the center caps fell off. I was told to purchase the replacements myself and that they would install them for free. No thanks. Avoid this place
Mr. Tire at 16420 Lorain Ave. Great Service. 11:30am. My Tacoma had a piece of metal stuck between the treads. Needed a simple tire patch/plug. Two other tire shops Refused my business. Conrads at 14577 Lorain Ave. said it would be at least 4 hours before service. Would not even entertain installing my full-size spare. Firestone at 21210 Center Ridge Rd. would not have time all day and would not entertain installing my full-size spare. Rolled in to Mr. Tire at 16420 Lorain Ave. Took me in immediately. Had me in and out in 40 minutes. The three young men working the shop, clearly enjoying their work, were pleasant and eager to work. Great attitude, great service, I left a healthy tip. Thank you
One Star isn't low enough. Main issue: my glove box had been gone through and someone had stolen items from me. I was told they cannot do anything about it. Multiple times i have been told the manager would be calling me to try to make the situation right. It has been two weeks and I have not heard back. Other issues: I left my car overnight and paid for four new tires and an oil change. I was told the shop open at 7:30 and that my car “would be done first thing in the morning” I didn’t get a call saying it was done until 12:30pm. When I got there, my hood was covered in oil, I didn’t have a sticker in my windshield saying my oil change was complete, none of my fluids were topped off and all my tires were missing the valve covers. At this point I did not trust that the job had been done and I ask for the employee check over everything before I leave. When we check the oil, we realize it’s overfilled by an entire quart, which could have lead to me blowing my engine. I asked for them to change my oil again and ensure everything is at the proper levels. Once that’s done, I got to leave and my tire pressure sensors all turn on because all four tires had over 50PSI. The maximum recommended psi is 35. When the employee goes to let air of the tire, he noticed the air valve is actually broken so they have to redo my tires. One guy did my oil and tires. The job was to “change the tires and properly fill them with air. Change the oil, fill it to the proper levels and top off the other fluids. And to not steal from the customer. He failed at all three things. And I was told “we’ve been trying to fire him but we’re not allowed” — the employee is potentially ruining the customer's vehicle, management knows and refuses to do anything about it. Finally got my car at 4:30PM. Complete waste of time, money, and energy. Truly an awful experience.
