I had a frustrating experience trying to get an electrical inspection/report for Hamilton’s rental licensing requirements. I was quoted $1000+HST. I also obtained multiple quotes from other licensed electricians for the same type of “general inspection + report/letter,” and they were in the ~$200–$400 range (one was $375 for the entire house) without the same add-ons being presented as mandatory. If you’re getting an inspection for rental licensing, I strongly recommend getting multiple quotes and confirming in writing exactly what’s included (scope, report/letter, re-inspection policy, and whether permits are actually needed). I chose to go with another provider who is honest with their work (like every other ESA in the area).
