Mia is fantastic. I came with a few ideas for my first visit but nothing definite, and she gave me a fantastic holiday set that incorporated my favorite elements. She has a very hygienic setup and uses new files that she sends home with you. She also has all of her acrylic products available to inspect for product transparency. I will absolutely be visiting her again. She is cash only.
Mia is so sweet and funny and was very meticulous with my nails. I had sort of a mediocre nail job at a previous place and she took time to fix them and make sure I was set up for success with future fills. The price was very reasonable & the color was just what I wanted!
I found Mia last year after needing a last minute nail tech, and she’s the best!! She translates my inspo designs incredibly well, and I always have a laugh when I come in. Her acrylic fill with gel polish is very reasonably priced!
Bask in the glory of this amazing shop. Mia is the best. Helped me pick my perfect nail shape, the last 2x I've gone I've just let Mia get creative, and I dont think I will ever do it another way. She knows what I want better than I do, she is stellar at nail art, I literally LOVE her I swear. Conversation is excellent and prices are unbeatable. 15 stars for real. I get fills every 3 weeks and put my nails through hell and they have never even thought about lifting. God tier salon right here
I have been a regular customer of Oakland Nails for 5 1/2 years. Mia is an extremely honest, creative, and hardworking nail tech with years of experience and, yes, will give you constructive feedback of what you think you want. She doesn’t let me leave unless I get nails that I love, which I always do, even if it’s not what I initially had in mind (think: matte neon bar charts, tortoise shell accents, or a raspberry red color that Mia characterizes as “Pittsburgh in the 70s”). The atmosphere is intimate, but silly at the same time, unexpectedly creating a safe space to vent about the grievances of life with whomever might be sitting next to you. It’s maybe not what I would have first expected from a nail shop, but for the results, the prices, and the experience, I’m so glad that Oakland Nails is part of my routine.
