Had a tattoo done here by a guest artist back in December and this shop is great. Calm atmosphere even though there's lots of booths and multiple tattoos happening at once, never felt cramped or too busy. Lots of parking right outside the building and the space itself is beautiful. Awesome staff who were helpful and kind when trying to figure out my placement. Highly recommend and I hope to be a return customer soon!

***UPDATE*** the tattoo has faded after a little over a week. NOT happy!!!! Due to it fading I am going to have to go in for a touch up as I do not want to pay to fix up someone’s rushed job. Not impressed by the price nor the rush job. I paid $339 for this tattoo from a junior artist at this studio. I am not happy with how it looks and I am certainly not happy with the price, how long the tattoo took, and the unfinished lines. I personally wouldn’t recommend this studio to get your tattoo done at as they charge $150/hour for a JUNIOR ARTIST!!! My artist was fun to chat with but, she rushed my tattoo even though I explained I can come back the next day to have it finished before time ran out. I understand that getting done 2 peoples tattoos in around 2-4 hours is really difficult especially as a junior. However, the best course of action would’ve been to push my tattoo to another day. Genuinely baffled by the price, size, and time difference between my 1st from another artist at a different studio and my 2nd tattoo from this junior. 1st tattoo: 2hr 14mins, $165, hand+forearm. 2nd tattoo: 2hr 30+ min, $339, fingers+hand. So basically I paid 2x more per hour for half the size, effort, and shading. Not happy whatsoever, will definitely NOT be back nor recommending this studio.

My mom my sister and I got a couple of tattoos at Obscura and we can speak more highly or positively about our experience. The staff were welcoming, the studio is large and clean. Holly who did our tattoos was wonderful. Professional, friendly and most of all and incredibly talented artist! Her fine line work is stunning!! We will absolutely be back and will be recommending Obscura to others.

Robyn has been tattooing me for a few years now and I am NEVER disappointed. She is so talented, professional, fun, and meticulous. No matter what she’s doing, it’s going to be your new favourite tattoo. The shop is so lovely and inviting. It’s always kept spotless and all of the staff are warm and friendly. My favourite place to be in Ottawa.

Such an amazing atmosphere! Always so friendly and welcoming, love going to see my amazing girl Darien. She is so unbelievably talented she’s done a whole sleeve on me and there will still be much much more! Highly recommend! She just recently did a cover up on my hand and I’m obsessed! 😍 thank you guys for always making me feel welcome and appreciated! 😊
