My fiance, now wife was looking for a venue for our wedding. Me being a photographer I wanted something photography -Friendly, while she was looking for more of the dramatic, sophisticated and classy style. We spent days researching for our perfect venue and then I ran across ONYX Event Venue that had the strategic lighting and striking atmosphere i was looking for. I had to have my wife look at this beautiful space. When she did the first walk through she was blown away with all the timeless aesthetic of black walls, high ceilings, beautiful ball chandeliers that would enhance the look we had in mind and let me not forget about the SPACE, the #1 thing my wife was determined to have. We sat down with the Owners Mrs Carla and Claude Peterson who were both loving, kind and about their business. Mrs. Peterson went over everything with my wife and I from start to finish, she even provided a referral for a wedding decorator , Glitzbybritt . Need to say, my wife and I booked with ONYX EVENT VENUE and their referral for decorations. On 8-30-2025 my wife and I walked into a space that was beyond stunning, elegant and as my wife would say dreamy. The classic black and white decor against the venue dark wall accent and shiny chandeliers with our monograms displayed on tv screens across the wall provided a classic ballroom setting that in our opinion, will never go out of style. Our decorator Glitsbybritt added the glamorous black and white details for a final sophisticated ambiance. Our wedding at ONYX was everything my wife dreamed of and I hoped for. My wife and I love and recommend ONYX EVENT VENUE for all your special events and you will love them too. Thank you Mrs. and Mr Peterson
Our (SheGroove-all female band) very first time performing here. The experience was epic. The staff delivered 100% with customer service, professionalism, knowledge, and handled any situation that occurred in a very timely matter. Not often do you experience the owner being at the event but she (Carla) was hands on on every level ensuring everything was being carried out appropriately. I recommend this place 1000%.
The Onyx Event Venue hosted the repass for my mother. The space is so elegant, and the customer service was top notch. Carla, the owner, was so accommodating and professional. Everything was beautiful and the compassion shown by the staff made the day even more special for my family! Shout out to Chef J. The food was amazing! I highly recommend this venue for any occasion. Thank you so much for a lovely experience!
This was my first time being here and I was a part of the decor team (D.I.D. Designs K.C. Patricia McIntosh)for a tropical wedding reception. I want to first say that the space is beautiful. They are even currently working toward additions to the space so that it is even more fabulous. Carla and her husband were so so pleasant and VERY easy to communicate and work with! Their service goes above and beyond for their clients. It's one thing for the space to be nice and the owners to be nasty but here both are one and the same. I can't WAIT to do another event here. I highly recommend them. They also have another beautiful event space right across from this one. The Onyx has a capacity of 300 (I believe) and the space across has a capacity of up to 150. PLEASE book here!
this experience was BEAUTIFUL!!! very thankful to have run into such great people who were willing to help me with very little time. Mr Claud and Ms Carla were AMAZING! they made sure the building was up and ready for my special day and even added a few touches to make sure everything went smoothly. Communication was great, space was very big and they were even there to assist during my special day. Very nice space ran by the sweetest people. Will definitely be booking again. Highly recommend booking here for any special events that you may have coming up!
