Outlaw Martial Arts Academy en Ottawa es una escuela de artes marciales de primer nivel que ofrece instrucción de alta calidad para niños y adultos. I have two sons attending Outlaw. My eldest is starting his fourth year and my youngest started in September 2025. There is a strong sense of community at Outlaw and all children all welcomed and valued for who they are and what they bring to the mats. Sensei Mike and his instructors not only provide quality instruction to their students but they also provide mentorship based on their core values such as courage, humility, respect, integrity and kindness. I have seen so much growth in both my sons since joining Outlaw. I still to this day do not know how they manage to get 50-60 kids to follow instruction for over an hour! It helps when you have a high instructor to student ratio. Belts are not freely given, they are earned. I see many smiling faces on the mats even though the training is challenging, that is a wonderful indication of a fun and safe place to learn and to belong. Outlaw Martial Arts Academy is highly recommended for anyone (kids and adults).
My son has been attending Outlaw for three years and it has done wonders for him! The support and training he has received are helping him become a confident, caring young man and we are so proud of him. I would highly recommend Outlaw Martial Arts to anyone seeking to better themselves, get fit, and find a supportive family environment.
Outlaw is awesome. Everyone in the dojo is respected and included, and the senseis and coaches are excellent teachers as well as excellent martial artists. True leadership by example from Mike and Lija.
The Outlaw family are incredibly passionate and caring. They instill strong values in their students and they made me realize that Jiu-Jitsu is more than just a martial art — it’s a way of life built on discipline and the pursuit of one’s dreams.
Outlaw Martial Arts is more than just a martial arts school. I started training with them over 10 years ago with Sensei Mike, and it truly became a family. Everyone is welcomed, included, and respected, and the teaching is always personalized to your level and goals. It’s a place where you grow, learn, and push yourself. I highly recommend it. 💯🥋
