I went it for toe color change. I noticed the lady rip open a new bag of what looked to be sterilized tools to use during my service, which I was delighted to see as a lot of the salons around here do not seem to sterilize their tools. Anyways, towards the end of my service, I noticed my nail tech take a brand new sterilization pouch (keep in mind she hadn't once gotten up) and put the same tools back in a brand new sterilization pouch WITHOUT sanitizing or cleaning the tools she used on me; sealed it up and is going to use it on the next customer. This is absolutely so upsetting and so disgusting. I did not say anything because I kept telling myself, "well I probably missed something. There is no way she just did that". Well about 24 hours later..... my toe is throbbing because it is infected and probably going to get worse. I am so upset. It is so hard to find a place that actually cares about their customers. Sterilization is fundamental and should be taken very seriously. and unfortunately, this experience has resulted in the loss of a customer due to the improper sterilization. Do better.
Pink Petals often feels like a big family which is very welcoming. I have been going to Pink Petals Salon for many years. The owners have changed, but this salon always seems to find good technicians. I’ve tried other places, but I always end up returning; even though the location no longer is as convenient as I’ve moved. I used to only do walk-ins, but I’ve found that I probably need to make an appointment to get the nail tech I desire. They usually are busy.
I’m embarrassed to admit that I tried this salon twice, with the same outcome. I was CUT by two different technicians when I went. The first time was the left big toe. It only bled one hour or so. The second time was outrageous! The big toe was cut on top of the toe and a second cut was made on the middle toe. The technician told the owner that my skin was attached to the nail. Please look at the pictures….the skin is several mm’s from the nails. It was just pure carelessness!! It bled all night , I had to throw out the sheets. I was offered a free pedi next time. I should have received my services at no charge. My husband said if I ever return to this salon, he would admit me to a mental hospital. The first polished nail shows the first cut, at the appointment several weeks ago. The pictures without polish clearly shows the two areas cut at the second appointment. The cuts are clearly on the top of the toes!!
I booked a pedicure using my ClassPass credit before a wedding and left feeling disappointed. When I arrived, they had me sign a waiver, and I asked if French tips on my toes were extra. Since they charged $10 more, I decided to just go with white polish, which ended up being a good call. The experience was far from relaxing. The technician was constantly interrupted by a personal call, which made the pedicure feel rushed. After finishing my toes, one of them smudged when it touched the polish on the toe next to it. When I pointed it out, she quickly added more polish and top coat but didn’t fix the bumpiness. She then left, rolling her cart to the back, which left me feeling frustrated. Another tech noticed my dissatisfaction and asked someone else to fix it. My original tech returned, removed the polish, and repainted the toe. It wasn’t perfect, but it was better than before. I still tipped, but I wouldn’t return for another service. The overall experience didn’t meet my expectations.
