PK Altman are an amazing company. Their employees whether in the office or in the field are awesome. Always informative and their techs always explain what they are doing and very knowledgeable and informative! I would always use them.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS ELECTRICIAN! We hired this company to perform work on an apartment building in NYC that was part of an estate sale. They required a $6400 down payment (50% of total) plus $1000 payment for permits after they visited the building, evaluated the scope of work and provided us with a written estimate. After some delay by us because of possible sale of the building, PK & Altman went to start the work when the sale did not occur but decided their initial estimate was too low and did no work (this is evidenced by the electricity in the building never being turned off - a requirement for the electrical work to be performed). We advised them of an offer and pending sale of the building and asked that they hold on any additional estimate or work. The building was then sold and we requested a refund for work not done. To date, they have not returned ANY of the deposit despite 9 months of requests. LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKE AND FIND AN ETHICAL AND REPUTABLE COMPANY TO DO ELECTRICAL WORK.
From emailing with Joe to the team that arrived it was a good thorough experience. Joe was super vigilant and communicative when the team was running late. And the team were a great pair, very knowledgeable, quick and helpful. Took pride in their work. Great job!!
PK & Altman's electricians were on time (actually early), they were cheerful, they did fine work, the work was completed earlier than expected, and they cleaned up when they were through. My wife and I are thrilled with the result! The back office was super accommodating with the paperwork demands of our coop and management. We give PK & Altman the highest recommendation.
