A couple of mths ago I took a 14k gold necklace into this shop to see how much they would give me for it. He tested the salt gold and he said it was 10k And offered me a low amount. I was confused because I knew that the necklace was 14k. So I took it around the corner to another place ensure enough it was 14 k. I thought that was strange. So moving forward To know, I took a couple more pieces in to the same place, knowing that they were 14 k. The young guy took his magnifying glass and looked at each piece and told me it was they were 10 k each And gave me a really low price. I took his same magnifying glass and looked at each piece myself, and it was clearly marked 14 K. I called it to his attention and all he really had to say was “ They sure are”. I don’t think that it was a mistake at all getting both pieces wrong. I think that he was trying to pull one over on me like he had in the past. These people cannot be trusted and I do not recommend you taking or buying jewelry from them because they’re not honest.
It was a Saturday afternoon and I walked in and Nancy helped me immediately. I had a broach (costume jewelry) with beautiful crystals that I get tons of compliments when I wear it on my winter coat. It consists of two different pieces connected by a small metal ring and the metal ring broke. I went to a craft store and bout a new ring but I don't have the dexterity to fix the broach myself. Nancy's jeweler was able to fix it on the spot and did even charge me for the repair. Who does that it this day and age!? I love small independent businesses!! Thank you Nancy and her jeweler.
It was such a nice experience! Nancy and Justin were so sweet and helpful. I went in for a buffing of a ring I needed an engraving removed from and she kept us company and it ended up being immediate and free of charge. I will 100% come back if I need anything else, and my ring looks better than ever!
They tried to charge me for a new movement (~$150) because they didn't know how to reset my watch after changing the battery. They also scratched the back of my watch and got belligerent when I called them out on it. They didn't return my phone call when they said they would, and I had to show up to an empty store just to find out the status on my watch. Got the watch fixed next day within an hour by another local shop at Stonebriar. The watch just needed to be reset after installing the new battery. This store will not respect your sensitive items, valuable or not. They will be aggressive when you show your displeasure with them after they damage your property. Thankfully my item wasn't valuable monetarily, only sentimentally, but I definitely wouldn't trust them with anything of mine ever again. The outdoor photo below is before I brought the watch in, and the two in my window show the scratches they left on the watch.
My watch had an issue, I came in and they assessed it and repaired it, and when it happened again they took care of for me at no extra cost. Kind people doing a great job! Recommend them if you want someone to help and explain things.
