Pure Bouldering is the most affordable climbing gym in Colorado Springs, but that does not come at the cost of quality! This gym provides an authentic experience that caters to climbers at every skill level, meaning there is truly a place for everyone. In the building, there are three climbing areas that are each packed with unique and creative climbs. One of these sections simulates an outdoor environment, complete with sets placed across artificial rock walls and crash pads to break your fall. The grading is not soft in my experience, but I would say there is some variation depending on the set. The staff are always welcoming and make a genuine effort to get to know you. I have had a few mix-ups about the setting schedule in the past, but the owners were very quick to clarify my concerns. I do not feel like a customer here, but rather like I am part of a community! If you’re on the fence about signing up, I highly encourage you to go and check it out!
My wife and I just joined and climbed here for our first time today. We absolutely loved it! The size and variety with 3, yes 3, different bouldering rooms was awesome and the staff was super helpful and friendly!
If you're looking for a small but beautiful climbing community in Colorado Springs, look no further. Pure is a gym that is defined by the amazing employees and patrons that make it what it is. I've always felt welcomed when I walk through the door, and the community that they've built through customer service and events like the Adult Bouldering League is something you won't find at larger/more corporate gyms. The sets are innovative and great for all skill levels. Having Gearonimo attached to the gym is a huge plus as they have great deals on shoes & equipment. Having a membership here, and especially going with friends and meeting new ones, was what got me back into climbing after years of not being motivated. I can't speak highly enough of Pure!
This is a great old-school feeling climbing gym. They have 3 different rooms, each with their own kinda vibe. One of them is also kinda outdoors, where you have to move your own mats. It's very charming, and also a great way to prepare for going to the real outdoors. Don't worry, there is heating here, so it's okay. It's also a pretty good value, and the staff are nice, for example giving free tape.
I love this gym. Perfect for all skill levels and actually one of the best ones for progression if you're looking for more challenging climbs that will help you prep for outdoor bouldering. I've been coming here for a while and while I've tried other rock gyms in the area, this place is by far one of my top favorites. They also got a little kids area downstairs with a small slide so it's very kid-friendly for parents wanting go climb but has young ones in tow.
