My partner and myself were fortunate enough to be paired up with Tshepo for dance lessons for our wedding. He was patient, provided feedback in a constructive manner, and we both enjoyed his good humour.
My fiancee and I came to Quicksteps with no ballroom dancing experience to learn our wedding dance. The team supported us filling us with the confidence we needed to nail our dance on the day. Eric our dance teacher choreographed our dance quickly allowing us to add emotion and really love the dance we learnt. Eric really exceeded our expectations. Thank you Oh and there's a licenced bar 😉 🍾
The teachers are friendly and the options are extensive. Evening classes in various styles such as latin (salsa, bachata), ballroom (rhumba, cha cha), waltz, samba, swing (East and West Coast) and rock and roll, are available, with other classes available during the middle of the day around lunch time. Located conveniently in the city (Adelaide) near West Tce. Class prices are around $20, so I would highly recommend getting their value-for-money, singles (approx $50/wk) or couples (approx $80/wk) weekly passes. These passes can be upgraded to include significantly cheaper 'privates' (private lessons) with teachers, at either monthly, fortnightly or weekly intervals! Just say Phil sent you. 😉 * Street parking can occasionally be an issue so be prepared to walk maybe up to 100-200m, which really isn't that far
Our friends recommended QuickSteps to us for our wedding first dance. We started our 12 private lessons 6 months before our wedding and SO fortunate that we did! We had busy months in between and didn't get to practice as much as we wanted, but Caitlin was AMAZING - very patient, attentive, gave reasonable suggestions, and reassured us along the way. You could tell she knew what she was doing :) All staff were friendly and welcoming, we didn't feel out of place at all. It was comfortable and wouldn't mind coming back for the group dance sessions. Any questions we sent via text or email were answered promptly. The only minor issue we had was the parking after peak hours, so leave plenty of time to find parking (if driving), and make sure to relax before class to be in the zone! ¡Con diferencia, la mejor escuela de baile en Adelaide! El personal amable y acogedor te cuida desde el momento en que entras, sin importar lo nervioso que puedas estar. El bar sirve alcohol, entre otras bebidas, así que solo tienen estudiantes adultos: ¡no hay niños! Se especializan en baile social (aunque también hacen bailes de boda), preparándote para salir y pasar una gran noche sin la necesidad de una coreografía. Fui instructor en QuickSteps hace algunos años y, aunque ya no enseñe, es muy divertido pasar por allí, ponerte al día y bailar con todas las caras nuevas, conocidas y amables.
