It was incredibly adorable and pink in the store! I love seeing new clothes and merchandise that you can't find just anywhere. The manager was super sweet to me and my boyfriend and was offering to let me use the fitting room if I wanted to try anything on despite it being less than an hour to close. Ended up with a perfect pair of moth earrings. Support small businesses!
I've been shopping at Retro Vixen for years --- I've dealt with body dysmorphia and insecurity around clothing for all my life, and the aura of Retro Vixen is so healing, positive, and joyful. Melissa and Jess are so uplifting and lovely --- I hadn't gotten to go in in-person in over a year but Jess remembered my old job and gave my a giant hug and stopped everything she was doing to talk. I love this place so much that's filled with such beautiful, quality items, and a total staple of Kansas City! Walk, don't run, down to 39th street!!!
Retro Vixen has the best staff! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. They were genuinely excited when I told them about my engagement, and I couldn't have found a better dress for my engagement pictures! I have since gone back to choose a dress for my bridal shower. This place is so cute and has the best vibes! Edit: I forgot to mention that the white belt in the photo was also from Retro Vixen. I was on the fence of adding anything else, but one of the staff suggested the belt, and it really ties the whole ensemble together!
I have been a devout fan of Retro Vixen on their social media pages for years and wanted to visit in person for an upcoming wedding I'm attending. I attended their 5th anniversary birthday party, so the shop was gussied up with balloons and cupcakes (they were delicious.) There is something for all body shapes and sizes here, which is SO impressive and a must for 2023. I was given a space to try on clothes. The staff helped me pick out the perfect accessories (a belt with a beautiful bow) and a stunning green cardigan. They also have a punch card, so for every $25 you spend you get one step closer to another punch on your card (full punch card = discount.) Thank you so much!
I love retro vixen because the staff is always really nice. They have the most awesome dresses, outfits and accessories for my beautiful wife. They carry a varied size selection including 2XS - 6XL. I always feel so welcome there, even if I haven't been there in a couple months. They also have the always covered parking. Plenty of spots in back off of Genesee street as well as out front. Thank you for being so great!!😃👍❤️
