I've been going to Rise for about 6 months now and really love the variety of yoga classes, the instructors, and the amazing community. The studio has such a great vibe and has become a sanctuary for me. I do the monthly membership so I have the flexibility to go to classes anytime I can. So glad I found this place!!!
This studio is a hidden Gem in the Greenhaven/Pocket neighborhood. Rise has classes to meet every need. I always feel better after my practice. Love all the teachers but my favorites are Lucy, Kim and Julie. Highly recommend to anyone wanting an extraordinary experience with yoga.
Love this studio! Rise is a community of people who genuinely respect and support each other. New folks are welcomed with open arms. Love the range of classes and especially the Reiki and sound meditation sessions!!
I heard about sound baths a few months ago and was intrigued by the idea. One of the reasons that I love live music is because you can feel the sound vibrate in your body. Meditation had been recommended to me to manage stress, but I have a hard time meditating on my own, so the idea of having sound guide me, seemed to be a good fit. I have seen sound baths advertised for groups, but I preferred the idea of doing it alone (fewer distractions for my ADHD mind). An online search led me to Rise Yoga and Wellness, and Reiki Master, Lucy Fong. Lucy spent time with me before the session to educate me about what to expect and gave me time alone to set my intentions for the experience. Afterwards, she debriefed with me to find out what I liked (everything!) and didn’t (nothing). The sound of the singing bowls, chimes, drums, etc., and the vibrations in my body, gave me something to focus on. I fell asleep several times. I felt embraced by the soothing sounds. I can honestly say that I have never felt so peaceful as I did after that session. I drove home, smiling and content. I have already told all of my friends about it and plan to do regular sessions in the future. Thank you, Lucy!
I have had several deep tissue massages with Kylie Pearce at Rise Wellness, and it is always a great experience. Kylie is professional, reliable and kind and she creates a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. She has skillfully addressed all my tension points. It's clear that she is not only great at what she does but is also genuinely passionate about helping her clients feel their best.
