We're so glad we found this place! The menu is expansive - hot stone bowls, ramen, bento boxes, Korean BBQ, sushi, and more. The portions are very generous, and the prices are reasonable. The Korean honey tea is amazing, and you can add fruit or ginger to it. They do lunch specials every day of the week. Peter, our server, is incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive. Definitely try the Korean corn dog. We got the one with potato and cheese and split it among the three of us. I didn't think I'd like it much, but I loved it! It was like a Korean style mozzarella stick.
Between this & Kanji this is one of our favorite sushi takeout spots near Covington! The sushi is actually cold, miso soup is always so good & we’ve never had a bad experience! We love the crunch munch, reds, dynamite & red fire. We always wish to ordered an extra crunch munch bc the wasabi mayo is sooo good. We love this place
This was my first visit, and I chose the restaurant based on the great reviews. The décor has a lot of warm wood tones and gives off a cozy, friendly vibe. The restaurant is divided into two sections — the front, where we sat by the windows with a nice view, and the back, which looked like it could use a little TLC with some paint touch-ups and general maintenance. Our server was excellent (Uri) — prompt, friendly, and attentive. I ordered the Beef Hot Stone Bowl, which arrived steaming hot and full of food — definitely a generous portion, maybe even shareable. I was really looking forward to it, but while it was good, it didn’t quite reach “great.” One of the classic signatures of this dish is the crispy, slightly charred rice that forms against the sides of the bowl — mine had very little of that. The egg on top had a runny yolk, which I like, but the whites were also partially uncooked, which I don’t prefer. Overall, the flavors were a bit bland until I added some of the flavorful hot sauce they brought to the table, along with a splash of soy sauce — that made a big difference. In the end, it was a good meal and a pleasant experience, though my expectations were a little higher than what was delivered. The menu has a huge variety — hot bowls, ramen, sushi, and more — maybe too much going on. Still, I’d say it was worth the visit, and I’d consider coming back to try something different next time.
Ordered delivery and everything was fantastic! This will definitely be on rotation. The portions are massive without cutting on quality or value. Loved the fried rice and sushi bento box!
Sake Bomb is, without a doubt, my absolute favorite restaurant! The food is consistently amazing, with fresh ingredients and flavors that never disappoint. Every visit feels like a new experience, whether I’m trying something classic or new. The sushi is always on point, and the ambiance makes it perfect for both casual outings and special occasions. Excellent vegetarian options. I’m especially thrilled they’ve opened a second location in Newport—finally, a closer option! It’s fantastic!!!
