I really wanted to have a good experience here, but unfortunately my time with this therapist was repeatedly invalidating and unhelpful. Instead of offering trauma-informed or autism-informed support, the therapist often responded to serious issues with off-topic comments, jokes, or odd comparisons that had nothing to do with my situation. When I talked about real stress, grief, or crisis-level overwhelm, I was met with dismissiveness or comments that minimized what I was going through. I also noticed a pattern of the therapist making excuses for harmful behavior from people in my life rather than helping me set boundaries or work through the emotional impact. Even when I expressed feeling numb or hopeless, I wasn’t offered tools, safety planning, or meaningful help just superficial “self-care” suggestions. A therapist should listen, understand, and help provide strategies, not compare your experiences to political figures, celebrities, or stereotypes that feel more like personal opinions than professional guidance. This experience left me feeling more dismissed than supported. I’m sharing this so others seeking neurodivergent-affirming, trauma-informed care know to be cautious and advocate for themselves. I hope the clinic takes this feedback seriously, because people deserve compassionate and competent care.
I've never been to this clinic, though I do remember calling them once 10+ years ago, on pricing. For some, totally out of the blue, they sent me an unsolicited text today. Needless to say, I am not happy at the unsolicited contact, and want to be removed from your call/text list immediately.
I feel so blessed to have come across Cheri Duet for my son’s weekly counseling sessions. We struggled to find a consistent counselor for years and once we met Ms. Duet my son actually enjoyed sessions with her and made it a point to remind ME that it’s counseling day. I can’t explain how much of a win that was for our family because my son hated counseling, he didn’t want to do it and getting him to speak to someone was a consistent struggle for us. Ms. Duet recently got a promotion and she still managed to make her new schedule work in order to keep my son on as a patient. I will be forever grateful for her passion toward counseling and the compassionate heart she has toward the kiddos she sees. We appreciate her more than words could ever describe. Ms. Cheri Duet is AMAZING! Her dedication to her patients is unmatched. If more therapists were like her, finding a reliable source of support would be a cake walk for our community.
Spoke to Bella a couple weeks ago. She took the time to answer all my questions, and put my mind at ease. I really felt heard. I had my first session last week and definitely going back! Connected with my therapist super easy through the portal, and they were very personable. Their patient portal also lets me send messages straight to my therapist, so I don’t have to risk sending something via text and I can speak to them directly on my own time. Highly recommend.
Was recommended by our family doctor and a friend but has been so difficult to work with them to get appointment and EAP benefits linked. Our provider reached out three times in the last week and no one has contacted back. I was able to get through or get a call back within a day. I offered to loop them into the call or give them the number so can connect. They only looked and said no voicemails found, and have them call yet again! The therapists may be great, but if your front office is so difficult to work and bill through, not even wasting my time. Highly disappointed.
