Sean Davis was awesome! He examined my neck issue and explained in layman’s terms what was going on and gave me a great acupuncture session which fixed me right up. He has a great personality and made me feel right at home. Go check him out!
Dr. Uzi Chen is truly one of the best doctors I’ve ever been treated by. He helped me tremendously with my neck and back problems, and from the very first visits I could already feel a noticeable improvement. He is not only extremely knowledgeable and skilled, but also such a humble, kind, and genuinely sweet human being. He takes the time to listen, makes you feel comfortable, and truly cares about your well-being. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to complete my full treatment plan due to moving, but even within the first few weeks of seeing him, I felt so much better. I am beyond grateful for his care and would highly recommend Dr. Chen to anyone dealing with neck or back pain.
Sean at San Diego Sports Acupuncture is a rare healer. I came in with relentless back and hip pain from daily routine, and within minutes he not only pinpointed the source but taught me how to move and breathe to release the pressure my body had been carrying. His practical diagnostics and quick, precise work led me back to myself—relief came where tension lived for months. Each visit feels like a revelation. I am not an athlete and you don’t have to be either—if your body is crying out for balance, Sean will hear it and answer.
My son was in the San Diego area for 2 basketball camps. I searched for acupuncturists in the area and I am so thankful I found this place. When I called to schedule my appointments, I spoke to Sean. He was kind and accommodating and his follow through was unmatched. He emailed me forms right away and verified our insurance coverage within hours of my call. My son saw Uzi Chen and he was amazing - extremely knowledgeable, highly skilled, and had great bedside manner. He spent over 1.5 hours on his first visit and you could tell it came from a passion for his craft and just a genuine concern to help him. We have a second visit scheduled with Uzi and my son is already looking forward to it. Wish this office was local to us. Regardless, if we are ever in the area, we will be making it a point to visit this office and we will be referring local friends here as well. Thank you SD Sports Acupuncture!
I scheduled a visit with San Diego Sports Acupuncture, with Uzi, as a last resort. For some context, I had been dealing with substantial neck pain due to a martial arts-related C6/C7 injury. Although I had already undergone full disc replacement surgery, the remaining nerve damage severely limited my mobility and led to constant tightness in my neck and frequent migraines, which had a tremendous negative impact on my quality of life. I was taking substantial amounts of ibuprofen and muscle relaxants just to get through the day and to be able to sleep at night. My first visit with Uzi lasted a little over 1.5 hours. He asked me about my lifestyle, symptoms, and goals, and then formulated a treatment plan based on my specific needs. The first session provided some relief, though the results were similar to taking a high dose of ibuprofen. I continued with the suggested treatment plan, following Uzi’s advice, and slowly, with each session, my symptoms began to diminish little by little. It’s now been about a month since my last visit, and I haven’t had a migraine. I no longer take muscle relaxants and only occasionally need ibuprofen (a huge improvement from needing it daily, sometimes multiple times per day). Uzi’s treatment has had a tremendous impact on my quality of life, and I highly recommend him to anyone suffering from similar symptoms to mine. Thanks to this improvement, I’ve been able to return to surfing and martial arts—activities I had struggled to enjoy for a long time.
