We had such a fantastic lunch at Silver Dove Tea! Every bite was delicious, the price was very reasonable for the value and loved the selection of teas. Can’t wait to go back again soon! Highly recommend for any one in the gluten-free community - or not!!! I particularly loved that the sandwiches were open faced so it wasn’t just Bread. My favorite bites were the chicken salad, scones and cheesecake. Can’t wait to try it again soon!
New room opening in January! Very affordable. Great presentation and choices of tea. Scones are very tasty along with homemade strawberry jam and clotted cream. Sugar cubes were present which are a must. Thank you very much.
The maitre d’, a courteous and polite young man, set the right tone as soon as I walked in. He offered me a better table (by the window) than the one the app had reserved, provided I left by a certain set time, which proved an irresistible offer: tea room with a view (even if it was Tremont St). I was thrilled that this place allows one to make a lunch reservation for tea service, instead of the strict 3:00-5:00 p.m. time frame (London) which is too soon after lunch and always kills my appetite dinner afterwards. So thank you Silver Dove for being so flexible. The place though small, is impeccably clean. The menu is clear and concise, with two choices: one with cocktails and the other one without. The tea set serve-ware is a gracious and well proportioned white and gold porcelain set, which elevates the experience. My favorite part of the meal were the savories, which offered a variety of flavors and contrasting textures. The sweets by contrast were too cloying and repetitive. Only the scone because it was less sugar loaded than the others stood out. I felt well taken care off by the two female servers who were friendly and polite. If I am in the area again will come back and perhaps they can accommodate an all savory request, sans sweets.
I dined here with a group of friends for brunch and it did not disappoint! It was easy to make a reservation (you just have to do so well in advance). Service was prompt and every staff member we spoke with was kind and knowledgable about the menu items. I was pleased with the vegan options as well! I can't wait to go back!
Blown away by this place! Called up last minute as we wanted a cup of tea and they accommodated us within 10 minutes. Everything is gluten free and they have a whole vegan and dairy free menu. They were unbelievably accommodating and allowed us to add extra cucumber sandwiches for $3 each. The tea selection is vast and staff so attentive- we had the most amazing and delicious meal and can’t recommend here enough! The vegan afternoon was delicious and the fact I could eat here and my dairy free and gluten free mum is such a win! Also they offer decaf English breakfast tea!
