I booked a sail and night stay on the yacht for my partner who had never sailed before. The whole experience was amazing! All the crew onboard were attentive and friendly and went out of their way to give us the 5 ⭐️treatment! I highly recommend this experience for anyone who wants to experience the pleasure of sailing and lazing around on a beautiful yacht. Will definitely be back for more ☺️ Thankyou to Kim and Scott for the best birthday surprise ever 🎉
A perfect getaway on the water! My friends and I spent 2 days and 1 night sailing around Lake Macquarie with Silver Sun Sailing, and it was honestly one of the best mini escapes we’ve ever had! From the moment we stepped on board, our hosts Scott & Kim were warm, friendly, and so knowledgeable. They made us feel completely at home and struck the perfect balance between looking after us and letting us relax and do our own thing. The accommodation on the yacht was beautiful – clean, well-equipped, and the beds were so comfy! We loved lounging in the hammock, taking in the views and sea breeze. The best part was you could be as involved or as chilled as you liked – whether that meant helping sail, swimming, or just sitting back with a glass of bubbles. The food was truly 5-star. Scott cooked us the most perfectly done steak for dinner, we enjoyed champagne at sunset on deck, and woke up to breakfast in a tranquil cove surrounded by nature – absolute bliss. Couldn’t recommend Silver Sun Sailing more highly if you’re after a unique, relaxing, and memorable experience on Lake Macquarie. We’ll definitely be back!
My husband and I booked the Marina Luxe winter deal for a cosy getaway in Lake Macquarie, and honestly, it exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we arrived, everything felt luxurious yet laid-back — the perfect winter vibe. The views of the lake were absolutely stunning, especially at sunset. There’s just something magical about sipping wine on a private yacht with the chill in the air and the water glistening below. The cabin was spotless, stylish, and so comfortable — we loved the plush bedding and thoughtful touches that made it feel like a home away from home. We dined at Crusoe’s on the Lake — the food was absolutely delicious, and the setting right on the marina made it feel extra special. After dinner, we snuggled up in our cabin and watched a movie — such a simple pleasure, but it felt like the ultimate luxury. We came away feeling relaxed, reconnected, and totally refreshed. Highly recommend Silver Sun Sailing and the incredible service by Kim and Scott A great experience for couples looking for a romantic lakeside escape — we’ll definitely be back!
This boat is immaculate, and sailing at sunset on the lake is so special. Kim and Scott are fantastic hosts, thinking about every detail to ensure their guests are well catered for, and can sit back to enjoy the adventure. I was so inspired by the portable ice machine on board that I bought one myself… it’s the little touches like having ice in your Bellini on a hot day while sailing, that make all the difference. We also slept overnight in the Marina, and dinner at the yacht club was so delicious, excellent cocktail selection too!
Sailing on Spellcaster lll is an experience not to be missed. Skipper Scott not only knows Lake Macquarie's most magical spots but is an entertaining and gracious host. He made my friends and I feel super special, ensuring we enjoyed Spellcaster's spacious comfort and modern conveniences. Enjoying the views from a hammock certainly topped off the experience! Thank you Scott for a wonderful and unique afternoon on the lake.
