My mother’s rocking chair had been in storage for 9 years and it took a toll on it. The seat was split and had come apart. I wasn’t sure it could be saved. It is a treasured piece of family heritage and I was heartbroken to find it this way. I am so glad I found Samuel! He brought it back to life! I am so pleased with his work. He was joy to work with. His workmanship is top notch. He is very professional and I paid less than I expected! I highly recommend his services.
Samuel did an amazing job repairing my expensive West Elm nightstand after it was damaged during a furniture rearranging session. This piece has a detailed carved whitewash wood design, so I was worried the damage would be impossible to hide. Samuel arrived right on time, brought everything he needed, and immediately put me at ease with how knowledgeable and careful he was. He treated my home and belongings with so much respect, and he restored the front panel quickly and thoroughly with a matching stain. Watching the repair come together was incredible. He matched the texture and finish perfectly and worked with such precision that you would never know anything had happened. The nightstand looks completely like new again. I would highly recommend Skywalk Furniture to anyone who needs high end or luxury furniture repaired, restored, or brought back to its original beauty. This was truly exceptional work. I bet you can’t even tell where the damage was!!
Thank you Skywalk for a good service! I love the life you have given back to my furniture. I really love this piece, I have had it passed down to me from my grandma. Keeping it is like keeping a piece of her till date. I love how it has been revamped and brought back to life. My daughter loves it already.
Judging from the first image of this child rocker, it seemed like it had a new lease on life after a refinishing job from Skyewalker Furniture. Until you look underneath, and recognized the shoddy work that was done. As one can see from his website, he mainly deals with staining kitchen cabinets and doors. I mistakenly took this piece to Samuel, the business owner, who claimed he was also able to restore antique pieces. However, when it comes to the intricate details of such a job, based on this experience, his work is disappointing, and I highly recommend that you give this business a miss, when it comes to that sort of thing.
You get what you pay for. We saved over $7k using them to stain cabinets and it was an absolute mistake. They may be great with individual pieces of furniture but they have no business doing cabinets. They completely ruined our custom kitchen cabinets. Didn’t bother even erasing pencil marks from our cabinet maker and we now have numbered cabinets we can’t remove the marks. Left stain all over our ceiling, costing us having to repaint. Used low quality sealer/coat. It’s fading after a month. Do not use them for any high end jobs. *6/9 Update: We had to bring the cabinets for our panel-ready appliances to their shop. Before bringing, we specifically asked for them to remove the numbers since they stained and SEALED OVER THEM. They can't come off. Not only did they do the SAME THING on the second set of cabinets but REFUSED to fix after we complained. The owner's response shows his lack of care for his customers.
