Small entrance but it's bigger than expected. Nice selections of flowers, plants, and other garden stuff. Cricket the Cat is cute.
Absolutely terrific customer service and advice from a team that seems to love what they do. The prices are reasonable and each plant seems well-taken care of as evidenced by happy bees, butterflies and other pollinators happily going from plant to plant. The gift shop is as inspiring as the living displays on the outside.
My hubby took me on a surprise date here and it felt like walking through a fairytale. Beautiful plants; butterflies everywhere. Cricket their kitty is the sweetest and the staff friendly, helpful, and all good vibes. It's obvious allot of love & care went to into making this nursery a magical experience. Only bought a few gourds & couple herbs but will definitely come back every single time I get an itch for a new plant. Only thing that could possibly make this place better is a little coffee or cider set up in their comfy chair area. Though I might never leave. 🥰💜
I had Snead’s landscape my Museum District home. They beautifully landscaped the back yard and front. I feel like my home is the most beautiful home in Richmond. Ha. The back yard has a magical effect with a dry rock creek and plants that are healthy and gorgeous. In the evening the lights in the garden light up and it truly is magical. I just stare at it and can’t believe how cool it looks. The front yard has a more stately, traditional look. I tell all my neighbors I did it all for them to enjoy. It is simple yet still has a lot of interest such as a few bolders with ground cover crawling over them and a gorgeous lace leaf maple as the centerpiece. Every time I walk out the front door I think of how blessed I am to have found them. The entire experience was so easy and the result was amazing. I can’t say enough good things about them. I love them! I have to send a shout out to Dana too. She does the flower and plant arrangements in the pots and planters. They are breathtakingly beautiful. ❤️
This is one of the most nicely curated nurseries I've ever visited. The prices might seem a little higher than usual, but the plants are large, healthy, and expertly tended. Each one is a specimen plant: what you're getting is something that will immediately thrive in your garden, not a seedling that's going to need constant looking after to get a good start. I found everything here. Natives! Diverse perennials! Gorgeous and affordable annuals. Various trees, bushes, and shrubs that are hard to find elsewhere: special redbud cultivars, for instance, and ninebark cultivars I haven't seen anywhere except here. The staff were super attentive without being stifling. They were able to answer questions about ultra specific plants, and didn't hesitate to tell me if they didn't have something in stock, not to mention where else I could get it if they couldn't order it. I call that service. This is a great place. I will look forward to future visits, if only to admire the vast array of gorgeous foliage.
