This is the best couch doctor I could recommend in the city. We bought a Restoration Hardware couch without checking if it would fit in our apartment buildings freight elevator and to our dismay it did not. However I called Mark and he sent his team and they showed up within the hour. They were able to quickly disassemble and reassemble our couch without fail. Mike and team were fast, clean and professional and I would highly recommend them anytime anyone needs to fit their couch through the small NYC hallways/elevators!
I moved into a new apartment and the movers weren’t able to fit my couch into the living room. Luckily I found NYC sofa fitters! They came through in about 2 hours, disassembled my couch, and put it back together in my living room. They did a clean, professional, and thorough job. Highly recommend!
The Sofa Doctor came to our rescue and did an outstanding job taking apart our couches so they could fit into our apartment, and somehow put them back together looking even better than when we bought them. The craftsmanship, attention to detail, and professionalism were all top-tier. They were punctual, careful with our space, and made the whole process completely stress-free. I would highly recommend the Sofa Fitters! The tech was polite, efficient, and contientious to inform me of what he was doing as he worked very hard. He quickly and carefully disassembled and reassembled the couches. He brought a serious tool box on wheels, and I thought it was a lot of work for one person and one tool box. :) He did an excellent job, and I believe the furniture is in more secure shape than it was before he reassembled it. He also found and gave us an expensive piece of electronics we were missing, and had no idea it had ended up deep inside the couch.
I wasn’t expecting to spend move in day watching two guys host a build-a-bear workshop situation in my new west village apartment but I couldn’t be happier When my movers told me my sofa wouldn’t fit through my doorframe I went catatonic for 5 minutes before an interior designer friend recommended these guys and OH MY GOD. Worth every penny & more. They were able to come at the last minute and took such good care of my cozy pristine white cloud couch!! Kind, professional and competitive pricing—will be recommending this place to everyone I know in the nyc area ✨
