SOHO STUDIOS Westwood es una escuela de danza y un recinto para eventos de primer nivel en el corazón de Los Ángeles, dedicada a ofrecer un ambiente inclusivo para bailarines de todos los niveles. as visitor from out of town I am amazed by the warmth and welcome that I receive from the teachers and staff of Soho studios. A special shout out to Jackie who pores her heart, passion and professionalism for dance into her students, creating this wonderful family that support and learn from each other. The staff, other teachers and owner of the studio personally interact with the students constantly encouraging their progress. All different styles of dance come together to make each one greater. Can't wait to go back!
Words can't fully express how grateful and happy we are to have worked with Jackie at Soho Dance L.A. My husband and I came in with LITTLE to no dance experience, hoping to learn a choreographed routine for our first dance. From the very beginning, Jackie worked her magic. Her positive energy and warm, encouraging spirit made us feel confident, especially at first when we had no idea what we were doing. Over the course of 3 months, Jackie transformed our dance skills. She showed up to every session with enthusiasm, patience, and genuine support, making the whole experience something we'll never forget. Our final routine was a mix of a traditional first dance and salsa, and it couldn't have turned out better. We'll cherish that memory forever. The studio itself was lovely, but Jackie is what truly made it special. We can't wait to come back and take her group classes!
One of the best places in Los Angeles to come and take classes all the instructors are very professional and once every month they have a social which they have salsa Bachata and hustle. One of the best places to come and enjoy a good Saturday night
I LOVE SOHO DANCE!! Many dance studios will pay lip service to the community they create, but this place is the real deal. The instructors are so engaging, the students are so kind and talented, I really feel at home here. The diversity of students is astounding, the music is perfect, I really only have positive things to say. Their classes are so well paced that if you’re serious about improving you WILL improve, and fast!
Me and my husband decided we wanted a choreographed dance for our wedding, so as gays do we started taking dance lessons a year in advance. We met with our fabulous instructor Tamas Kardos several times in 2021, and then decided to take about 8 more classes the months leading up to our wedding in 2022. We mashed together two songs with a classic ballroom waltz which transitioned into salsa. We provided Tamas the mixed tracks and he was able to create a choreo for us that captured the emotions of both songs. He's a very good teacher for beginners, while also able to introduce some more complicated moves as you learn. We want to keep taking classes with him! We also set up a small group salsa lesson with him to get our guests excited!
