We have been taking our doodle Sailor to Somerset since she was a puppy. The team there is kind, compassionate, and professional - really just a great group of humans. This is a team of people who are not only skilled but also so sweet and dedicated to the well-being of the pets they care for. We are so grateful for the wonderful service and the peace of mind knowing Sailor is in the very best hands. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a groomer who goes above and beyond!
We have brought all of our dogs to be looked after by the owner for years. We tried other places in the past and found that other groomers did come close to providing the care or attention to our dogs. Our current dog Rocco is a lease reactive dog and these groomers are the only groomers that keep him calm which makes the whole experience let's stressful for everyone. If there was a six star on Google, I would give it. Best groomers by far!!! We are very picky with getting our nails done. Most groomers miss a nail or don't get the nails short enough. These groomers do a perfect job everytime! Dont waste your time with other groomers, go here and you won't regret it!
I started taking my dog to Somerset Grooming around September 2024 after reading great reviews. The groomer, Jamie, has always been great, and I had no issues until my last visit on March 8th, 2025. Unfortunately, this turned out to be the last time I ever set foot in Somerset. The issues started when I received a call the day before my appointment from the owner Hannah, who told me Jamie was sick, but she would be able to groom Milo instead. I agreed to this, assuming that as the business owner, she would have the necessary skill and professionalism. Sadly, I was wrong. I dropped Milo off at 9am happy pup no issues, received a call just 44mins later, asking if I have ever noticed that Milo might have a “cataract”. Absolute not … we were at the vet almost every other month for puppy shots and check ups since he was under a year old at the time. He was a healthy happy pup. Then, just five minutes later, I was told that Milo was finished and ready to be picked up. When I arrived Milo wasn’t even fully dry and pawing at his eye. I was told nothing to worry about all went well, despite the fact that his eye looked off. Hannah refused to take any responsibility for what had happened, blaming it on supposed cataract. Refused me of seeing any video footage saying that there is nothing. I took my dog to the emergency vet immediately, where they quickly identified the issue as an eye ulceration caused by trauma during grooming. The vet was shocked that Hannah did not even apologize for the accident that they caused. On top of all this, I was charged in full for the grooming session, even though it was cut short. It was frustrating and upsetting to deal with such an unprofessional situation, especially when the injury could have been avoided with more caution and attention. While Jamie is an excellent groomer, my experience with the owner and this incident has led me to find another groomer who treats my dog with care and respect he deserves (plus videos the grooming). I cannot recommend Somerset Grooming based on this experience. Please see photos of Milo the morning of his appointment compared to moments after.
This was our first time taking our senior dog to Somerset Grooming. They were 100% awesome! They took the time to give him lots of love and attention to make him and us comfortable. He came out looking like a million bucks! He's a big time shedder, But whatever they did, he was completely de-shedded. Best we've ever seen! You want to pamper your pup? This is the place. The staff are all so friendly and give all the attention your dog deserves.
The best groomer around, hands down! I will always recommend Sommerset! Nikki grooms our 2 dogs, and our parents dog during the same appointment. The space is safe and fear free. Our dogs get fully pampered with head to toe TLC each visit. Our Boston terrier was a rescue, and was terrified of his feet being touched, Nikki has worked with him to create trust to the point where is allows her to now trim his nails without hesitation. I can’t praise their work enough. I love this team!!!
