I had the most amazing experience with Stylist Gina — she truly took my hair to the next level. From start to finish, Gina was incredibly skilled, thoughtful, and precise. She completely understood my vision and elevated it beyond what I even imagined. My hair has never looked this beautiful, healthy, and refined. She is truly so talented at what she does. I also have to give a huge shoutout to Christine, who was so warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout the entire appointment. She made sure I was comfortable and that my hair looked perfect every step of the way. Her kindness and attention to detail made the experience feel extra special. The customer service was outstanding — everyone was genuinely kind, professional, and made me feel so taken care of. The whole team is incredibly skilled and clearly passionate about their work. I honestly felt like a princess walking out of the salon. I can’t recommend Gina and the team enough. If you’re looking for top-tier talent, incredible service, and a truly elevated experience, this is the place to go. ✨
I came here to refresh my wool-curl perm for my bangs since new hair had grown out and become straight. Gina did an amazing job! She was very gentle, patient, and really listened to what I wanted. I also received tea and snacks during my service, which made me feel very welcomed and relaxed. It’s not easy to find a salon in the U.S. that understands Asian hair and style, but this place truly made me feel happy and cared for. I’m very happy with the result and would definitely come back. Highly recommended. Thank you Gina!
Well, I do NOT recommend this hair salon if you care about your hair. See my photos below: my hair before and after their haircut. I asked them to cut my hair by only 2 inches. Do you see what they did? It looks like someone bit my hair. She was cutting my hair with her eyes closed? What's wrong with them? The owner is ridiculous. When something goes wrong, she tells you, "I don't speak English; I need a translator," lol. Are you kidding me? I saw her 10 years ago when she was working as a hairstylist at another hair salon in K-Town. She was often rude to clients and understood English well, but now she doesn't speak English and needs a translator. Also, she refused to return my money. If you care about your hair, do not make any appointments at this hair salon. Trust me. P.S. I do not trust their 5-star reviews because they ask you to leave a 5-star review in exchange for something, such as an unnecessary hair procedure and etc.
UPDATE: This has nothing to do with the salon or the stylist, because I had a lovely experience, but I super regret this perm. I came in wanting a digital perm for big, wavy curls and they wouldn’t do it due to my color treated hair. Fair enough, I should have walked out and cut my loses. Instead I was convinced to do a cold perm, which I absolutely shouldn’t have done. My hair is not even curly, some pieces turned out totally straight when dried and the damage sustained is severe. My hair is FRIED and so frizzy in spots and still very straight - just now totally damaged. I am a little devastated. I feel I’ve made a huge $450 mistake, but honestly they informed me that there was a chance the curls would fall out a week later, so I can’t really fault them but literally these photos are later the same day. :( Please be careful with these perms and do your research on the cold perms which I feel was not the right choice for me. Honestly if you are a color treated blonde, don’t even try. Ultimately, the chemicals were way too damaging and not the big curl look I wanted. Again, I had a lovely experience at the salon. They were so very kind and worked so hard, so I feel bad for having to update this review, but I had to be honest. I shouldn’t have done this and now I’m living with the consequences. Can’t even wash my hair for 48 hours so there’s nothing to be done. Will have to wait until it grows out. Ugh. I really messed up. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Had a wonderful experience with Esther and her lovely assistant. Came in wanting the digital perm, but they informed me that I shouldn’t do that given the fact that my hair had highlights so advised me to do a cold perm and hair treatment instead to avoid hair damage. They also gave me snacks and made me feel so comfortable! Made sure I was informed about every step along the way and overall I felt very taken care of. What a lovely salon experience and can’t recommend them both enough.
This salon can do the impossible and work magic on fine natural blonde hair, the kind that is stick straight and won't hold a curl. Sara was very up front that there was a 50/50 chance my hair texture would simply not hold a perm, but I went for it anyway and the results were exactly what I was hoping for! Photo is after my first wash. My hair has extra volume and she was able to complete the perm with no damage to my hair. The staff here is also so so friendly, overall a great experience.
