Dan Thatcher and Melonie are absolute professionals, including the whole team. Dan, Russ and their team of roofing associates are excellent! Very professional and are extremely proficient in their knowledge and repair/replacement of our tile/underlayment 25 year old roof! Dan and his team at Southern Arizona Roofing Associates have exceeded my expectations with their exceptional roofing services. As a homeowner, I was thoroughly impressed with their professionalism, expertise, and commitment to customer satisfaction. Dan and his crew possess an in-depth understanding of roofing systems and materials. They meticulously assessed my roof's condition, identifying potential issues and recommending the most reliable and advanced roofing solutions. Their knowledge and experience were evident in their thorough explanations and personalized recommendations From the initial consultation to the final inspection, Dan and his team prioritized customer satisfaction. During the installation of our roof, we had an unexpected rain shower. I had tried calling the office, but it was after hours. I came home from work to find Dan and his brother already on roof they had dropped everything to ensure that the quality of their work was not compromised. This commitment to their quality of work and customer satisfaction cemented my decision.
New review: Hired them again for a house I bought in Tucson. Had minor roofing issues that were revealed when Dan came by while I was still considering bidding on the house. Did NOT charge for the inspection and estimate! Yesterday (2/22/2022) Ben, Sterling, and Angel came by and worked as a team to do the repairs on the roof in about 3 hours. They were hyper-courteous, very much a team, and very expeditious. I was extremely pleased with the work, the price, and the timeliness of their repair. The quality of their work is superb! The review below is a previous review I left a couple years ago when they did a complete re-roof of my daughter's Tucson house: If you just want old technology roof repair or replacement, go elsewhere. If you want sub-contractors working on your roof, go elsewhere. If you want to hire a large company with different people on different days doing your roofing with no collective clue of what has been done, how the project is planned and scoped out, and what needs to be done, go elsewhere. If you a want rock-bottom pricing, go elsewhere. If you want a job to just "get by" to buy you time or to simply make the roof look presentable or functional, go elsewhere. If you don't care if a roofer gives you a 3, 5, 8, or 10 year warranty on work, go elsewhere. Not me! I did not want my 2 minor leaks on my 20-yr-old house to eventually rot the OSB/plywood paneled, concrete tiled roof causing mold, mildew, and/or termite infestation, plus damaging wooden roof joists and roof construct, and ruining attic insulation and ceiling drywall ultimately requiring replacement at an overall much greater cost in the future. I chose their relatively small company for MANY reasons. Note the TOP customer reviews. I wanted to get almost the same 6 to 8 employees on the job the entire 4 days to do a complete re-roof of my 1,600 sq ft house. They did not take short-cuts, even staying on premises every day the entire time (one short rest break on-site, and no lunch breaks), and worked as a team in every aspect. My house was no "job site". They walked the premises twice daily to pick up ANY foreign objects (e.g. nails, trim, broken tile piece) on the ground and left ZERO equipment or supplies or trash at my house at the end of each day. Dan (the owner) and his employees are not simply roofers. They are craftsman and artisans. They use quality tools, equipment, and building supplies. They have impeccable standards for precision tile cuts, flashing, sealing, and every roofing tasks. I was up on the roof 3-4 times daily for 4 days to see every step they took, and took pictures from start to finish. I give Southern AZ Roof Associates my highest rating and at my age, I have been around long enough to know an outstanding job when I experience it first-hand.
