Dania and all the staff from the person at the door to the general manager where AWESOME! They gave us recommendations that are spot on. We had the Duck Curry Noodles and the Chargrilled NY Steak. I’m not really into octopus but I tried it here and it was the best I’ve had. The food was GREAT! The service was BETTER and the atmosphere was relaxing and inviting. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!
There’s no question that this is a 10/10 spot. Everything slaps. Excellent, unique flavors that are executed perfectly. This is some of, if not the best, Thai food I’ve ever had. I only regret that I couldn’t order more. I will next time, though. MUST TRY: duck curry
I had an amazing experience at Sovereign Thai Cuisine in East Village! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the quality in every dish. What made the visit even better was the outstanding service. Zaki helped us and was absolutely amazing. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure we felt taken care of the entire time and shared the Thai culture and history with us. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in San Diego and craving authentic Thai food with great service. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Service and atmosphere were on point! I will say the food could have used a little more flavor - I asked for some chili crisp to add spice and it didn't really have much to it. We got the avocado spring rolls (delicious!) and the NY steak with fried rice - steak was good, but the fried rice was pretty bland. Broccoli and garlic is a high recommend.
We loved the food and ambiance here. The service was fast and friendly while accommodating our large party of about 10 ppl. We make our reservation on the morning of. I wish they had more vegetarian/vegan options. They are very strict on their “no modifications” policy. The Sizzling Eggplant was my favorite. It had so much flavor. Didn’t realize this place is a Michelin Star restaurant until we arrived. Sizzling Eggplant: 4.5/5 Mushroom Larb: 4/5 Buddha’s Pad See Ew: 4/5
