Spavia is amazing first visit was a gift in 2012, this was my first time at the West Loop location. I absolutely love the decor and ambiance at the new location, Spavia offers intimate cozy space. I saw Tanya today for a massage she’s absolutely wonderful, her sessions feel like a journey into relaxation, she addressed all my tightness, she’s very attentive and thorough she has such a calming aura. I have my fav practitioners but honestly Spavia has great practitioners, I’ve been to other spas in the city and find myself longing for the consistent service I receive at Spavia.
I got a 80 minute massage with Tanya P and it was fantastic! I asked for firm pressure and she did great- the whole massage was soothing, she was great at working all my muscles, and I felt refreshed at the end. The price was very reasonable, especially with the first time client discount- could not recommend more!
Kassandra was incredible! She was so sweet and fun to chat with too. This was first facial ever so I wasn’t sure what to expect but she made me feel comfortable and relaxed from the very first moment! Thank you, Kassandra for the amazing experience.
I am surprised at so many positive reviews; my experience was mediocre at best and certainly did not warrant the price of the massage service. The spa looks nice and has a separate locker room and waiting room with warm towels and hot tea. The temperature of the entire spa was quite cold, including in the treatment rooms, which might have been a result of the frigid temperatures outside, but an overlooked detail that took away from the experience nonetheless. I scheduled a deep tissue massage. Not great. The masseuse used unfamiliar techniques on me which felt on the verge of painful at times. This involved twisting my arm behind my back and pulling my arm away from my body, such that it felt like something might snap. She did this without warning or asking my comfort level. It felt terrible. At the end, she lifted my head and swung it in circles several times. Not necessarily painful like the arm twist, but uncomfortable and not enjoyable. I received no foot or scalp attention, which typically is part of a full body massage. I would not recommend this spa to anyone, and am disappointed that the service cost almost $200 and was neither relaxing nor enjoyable for me.
It was an amazing experience from start to finish! The customer service—from scheduling to the actual appointment—was excellent. Kassandra was incredible; she asked thoughtful questions, shared her knowledge, and made me feel completely comfortable. I could see and feel a difference in my skin right after my visit. It also happened to be my birthday, and the staff made it extra special by surprising me with a glass of champagne to celebrate! Kassandra truly has healing hands, and I’ll definitely be back.
