I can't speak highly enough of Spotted Hen. They were the first and ONLY recommendation we got from our planner when we told her we wanted to do a non-traditional tapas style meal for our wedding, and we were completely sold from the jump. Our tasting was INSANELY delicious, super personal, and really fun! Taylor was so comprehensive with everything details-wise, I knew we were going to be in good hands. The food was amazing, we got so many compliments on our caterers, and everything went off without a hitch. I 1000% recommend!!
If you want guests to come up to you saying that the food is amazing and how impressed they are, then book Spotted Hen! Your guests will literally thank you. The flavors, quality and presentation surpassed all expectations. Their team managed the flow of the meal effortlessly and were attentive - we also had tray-passed appetizers during cocktail hour which were a hit with the guests. Overall, the staff managed the catering service well and everything went smoothly so we could enjoy the wedding day without any worries. The Spotted Hen team was incredible to work with from the beginning. They were meticulous and detailed, they made sure that all specifications were accounted for and that we were aware of what rentals and materials were needed. They offered a variety of dishes, appetizers and desserts to choose from. And I have to mention the vanilla cake with berries - one of the best cakes I've had in my life. I don't have the words to do it justice. Please book them! They were amazing to work with.
My wife and I went with Spotted Hen as they were on the list of approved caterers for our venue. That was already a huge mark in their favor as our venue was very uptight, so anyone who met their approval was clearly solid, professional, and likely had a good track record. We took a chance and set up a tasting. Honestly, the tasting alone was worth the booking. We were immediately treated like family and were given amazing food, amazing wine, and had a truly wonderful time getting to know this catering team. On the actual day, we didn’t know if they could replicate the experience we had at the tasting but they truly went above and beyond. Every guest complimented us on the food, both in terms of taste and presentation. Our photographer was so enthralled by the entrees that she forgot to take photos of them. My wife and I made the decision to do most of the planning ourselves and just went with a planner on the wedding day. Spotted Hen clearly and easily communicated everything they needed to be provided by the rental agency and it was truly almost nothing. I still don’t know how they did it. The salmon was flaky and moist, the steak was hearty and flavorful, and the cake was truly divine. It really felt, more so than any other vendor that we hired, that we were on a team together and that these people were our friends. I can’t communicate how much that helps with the stress of the day. We knew we were in good hands, and were delighted when Taylor came out to check on us as the evening was winding down. I can also say, definitively, that no other vendor invited us over for cocktails AFTER the wedding! Do yourself a favor and go with Spotted Hen. Your guests will thank you.
Spotted Hen catered my wedding. They 100% should cater yours too. I’m at the age where all my friends are going to 10+ weddings a year. I cannot begin to tell you how many people said our food was the best wedding food they’d ever had. The VARIETY of options were endless. The plates all had edible flowers that wowed the crowd. They allowed us to use our secret family bbq sauce which was so lovely to the guests. And don’t even get me started on the logistics…serving 230+ guests drinks, appetizers, and getting them through a buffet line without waiting long periods of time? I’ve never seen anything so streamlined. Spotted Hen made THREE buffet lines for us so no one had to sit around and wait. Above and beyond. And by far the most reasonably priced caterer we spoke to. Look no farther - this is your spot!
Spotted Hen Catering is amazing!!! Our family friend Shane recommended them to us because she uses them all of the time, and we are so thankful that she did! They were so professional and easy to work with! We had them cater our micro wedding, and they were so flexible in answering all of our questions and providing an incredible dining experience for us! From the appetizers to dessert, every course was beautifully plated and delicious! We were able to choose and customize our menu. The staff was friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious! We would absolutely use them again and recommend them!
