Last year I adopted a bully mix that was found on the streets. She was great with people, but extremely reactive with dogs. I have an RV and wanted a travel companion, but I knew she couldn't handle being in an RV Park with other dogs. I sent her to Stand Proud boarding school for a month. With the boarding school, follow up classes, and pack walks, we were able to spend a month in an RV park this summer. She loves all of the trainers at Stand Proud. It was the best investment for a happy life together.
I cannot say enough great things about Stand Proud. Every single person is absolutely amazing. They are knowledgable and super helpful. As a mom of three littles, it was really important for us to build a strong foundation for our new puppy which is why we decided to do the board and train program. It was worth every penny. I got updates of my puppy's progress throughout his stay through photos and videos. The first few days home were great! He did have a slight regression because he was testing limits to see if he could get away with the things he did before training, but it was quickly addressed at his follow up training session and he got right back into the flow of his training. Stand Proud continues to give me the tools I need to ensure our puppy's success. Their methods are really effective and easily incorporated to every day activities no matter how busy I can get. I highly recommend this team!
We recently enrolled our dog Mocha in Stand Proud’s 3 week board and train program, and I am not exaggerating when I say that it has changed our lives! Before Mocha’s training with Stand Proud, we were struggling with some minor dog reactivity issues. Although he was mostly able to remain neutral when in motion walking past other dogs, he was still showing reactivity when in close proximity to other dogs in more static situations. After consulting with Danielle and Brandon about it, they suggested that the 3 week board and train program would be the best option for him because it would provide him with tons of exposure to other dogs in a controlled environment, which would help him to generalize his neutrality in a wide range of scenarios. While he was in the program, we received a few pictures and short videos of him with training updates on what they were working on. I was mind-blown by what they had him doing in such a short amount of time! Danielle also sent us some material to read up on so that we knew what to expect upon his return, how to implement the same routine at home, information on tools and equipment, and so much more! After Mocha graduated from his board and train, we had an hour-long pick up lesson where we were able to see all of the things he had learned. The program also came with 3 follow up lessons, which were so incredibly helpful! Since Mocha had conquered his reactivity issues and was doing so well with his basic obedience, our main focus for the follow up lessons was working on getting him fully ecollar trained so we can feel confident taking him on off leash adventures with us. Now that we’ve finished all of our follow up lessons, we’re definitely taking full advantage of all of the group classes and pack walks they offer to help keep up on his training! Mocha’s time with Stand Proud has opened up the door to so many opportunities for him that I never would have thought were possible. We’re able to take him to places like the marina, rancho, damonte ranch, etc. on the busiest of weekend days with max distractions all around and feel assured knowing that we have the proper tools, techniques, and understanding to help him through any situation. It makes me so happy knowing that he now gets to live his best doggy life! I will forever be grateful to the entire team at Stand Proud!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I cannot say enough good things about Stand Proud and the incredible dog training program they offer! When my dog Bella returned home after her training, the difference was remarkable. We were finally able to establish clear boundaries with her, which made a world of difference in our day-to-day lives. One of the most impressive changes was her ability to walk on a leash without pulling or showing aggression towards other dogs. Walking her was a nightmare, especially when dogs would bark from the other side of the fence. The aggression she showed was not okay. I’m beyond grateful for the change she had made. It was truly amazing to experience those peaceful walks together! Additionally, when Bella first went into the program, she was definitely overweight. Upon her return, she looked fantastic and was much healthier. The team at Stand Proud is not only knowledgeable but also genuinely cares about the dogs they work with. They have become an invaluable resource for us. Thank you, Stand Proud, for helping Bella become the wonderful companion she is today! Highly recommend to anyone looking for effective dog training!
We adopted a troubled doodle and her sibling from a friend of the family who could not handle her 4 years ago. I did significant work researching training theories and working through what I could with her, but at the end of the day I knew she needed a professional. We did some private lessons with Brandon which took her from insecure and fearfully aggressive to confident and well adjusted. Ginger could not go to the vet or the groomer because her fear was so visceral. Brandon helped us find vets and groomers who would work patiently with her and attended her appointments to ensure things went smoothly. Ginger has now been removed from the aggressive dog list at the vet and goes to the groomer without issue! He has also helped us manage the relationship with her brother as well and is always willing to answer questions about him. These dogs get to be their wildest, happiest selves because of the work Stand Proud has done with us. A few years later and Brandon still helps us with nail trims and general questions about her behavior, Danielle always responds quickly, and they consistently show us that their number 1 priority will always be the wellbeing and happiness of my dogs. There isn’t another trainer in this area that can provide and care for your dogs the way that Stand Proud will.
