I recently attended a costume party where my group decided to go as Egyptians. Not all of us are blessed with naturally deep, tanned skin — and in my case, I’m a stage 4 melanoma survivor (diagnosed in 2011), so I’ve avoided the sun ever since. I wanted a healthy glow without the risk and did quite a bit of research. After hearing amazing things and seeing great reviews, a friend recommended Sugar and Bronze. From the moment my group and I walked in, we were warmly welcomed and immediately attended to. We had the pleasure of meeting Iyanna, who also did my service. She walked me through everything and helped me pick the perfect shade — they offer four options (1–4), and I went with a 3. It turned out beautifully and suited me perfectly! Iyanna was incredibly patient and professional, repeating the prep and care instructions so I felt confident even as a first-timer. I left with a gorgeous bronze glow and easy follow-up care directions. While I don’t live in Houston, I’ll definitely be back whenever I’m in town. Sugar and Bronze has locations in Austin, Dallas, Miami, and many more nationwide. If you’re in Houston, go see Iyanna at the Montrose location — she’s the best!
The lady that took care of me made me feel extremely comfortable and I’ve never done this before now that I feel so comfortable. I’m going back again next week before I go on a trip and I’m gonna keep going back cause it makes you feel so good they’re very professional
Exceptional service from Madeline! 🩶I was greeted immediately upon entering and both girls had smiles on their faces. They had me fill out the intake form, which was a breeze, and then we immediately got started. I explained to Madeline how with previous places, the job is inconsistently done. She took note of that and gave me one of the most precise waxes I’ve ever had. Very little pain and she got ALL of the hair. She gave me great aftercare instructions and answered all the questions I had. I can’t wait to come back and I will definitely consider purchasing a membership here. (I really like how there’s an actual waiting/reception area).
I had an amazing experience at Sugared and Bronzed! This was my first time trying sugaring, and I’m honestly shocked at how pain-free it was. As someone who has been waxing for years and also tried laser hair removal, I can confidently say that sugaring is the perfect in-between option for me when I want an effective yet gentle hair removal experience. The location is brand new, so everything is super clean and well-organized. The staff is incredibly professional and made me feel completely comfortable throughout the process. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a smooth, hassle-free hair removal experience!
