I haven’t had a wax in so long and Caitlin was absolutely amazing! She was so calm, and made the environment so comfortable. The results look amazing and I will absolutely be back.
I visited for the first time about a week ago, and it was also my first time getting waxed. Vivian made the entire experience feel comfortable and relaxing. I’d absolutely recommend coming here and when you do, make sure to ask for Vivian!
I don’t usually leave reviews, but my experience with Vivianne during my recent brazilian waxing appointment was upsetting enough that I feel it’s important to share. I was really looking forward to treating myself because I don’t do this often, and I left feeling extremely disappointed and emotional. Vivianne arrived about 10 minutes late, which I didn’t mind, but there was no greeting or introduction - nor a warm invitation to follow her to the room. When I explained that I wanted to keep my existing triangular shape and only remove the newly grown hair around it, she interrupted me and told me not to worry because “she had it.” I also said I wanted to monitor the waxing since the shape was important to me, and again she dismissed my concern. Despite that, the exact section of hair I specifically asked her not to wax was removed - completely ruining the shape. When I realized what happened, I was very upset. My pubic hair is incredibly important to me. It is something that makes me feel incredibly sexy, womanly, feminine, and powerful. I have always been proud of how I have maintained, manicured, and pampered this part of myself and my body. And to have my pubic hair completely disregarded by a service provider who offers this service was entirely disheartening, disappointing, and unprofessional. When I shared my concern and shock to Vivianne that the exact area I kept trying to tell her to not to wax was gone, she told me she “assumed” I wanted it smaller rather than simply asking me or confirming my request. Which had me feeling upset, because on two separate occasions before our waxing began I was trying to explain to her what I wanted by pointing out where I did and did not want her to wax, to which she cut me off. Twice. Entirely disregarding what I wanted for my pubic hair. My esthetician friend later explained that checking with the client - especially before removing hair on such an intimate part of the body - is a basic and necessary part of professional waxing. Checking in with me about my shape and size is, also, something I received from previous waxers when I have received services such as this in the past, to which Vivianne did not do at all. At the end of the appointment, when I said I wasn’t happy with how it looked, she told me she wasn’t “obligated” to create shapes or designs. If that were the case, I wish she had communicated that before dismissing my requests and making decisions without my consent. Even though I was unhappy and extremely emotional afterward, I still paid in full and left a tip. I’m a service provider, too, so I understand the importance of paying and tipping. I am not writing this review to get a refund or a free service. I just want to make others aware of my experience so they can make an informed choice. Clear communication, respect for client requests, and maintaining a sense of safety are essential in such an intimate service - and unfortunately, that wasn’t my experience here.
I love Vivian ! She is the Best . I moved to Mansfield and tried it here but nothing like the one in Plano. Vivian was my first and she did an awesome job. She was able to take care of my ingrown pretty good.
Vivian is lovely and did a great job. I highly recommend her and Sugaring NYC.
