Joining Suncoast has been the BEST decision our family has made! Our son is 8 yrs old and Sensei Eric has a way with the kids to keep their minds focused, motivated and listening better than any sport our son has ever done! Perfect balance of fun and discipline! What sets Suncoast apart from others is the culture. Sensei and his wife Ms Julee are truly an incredible family. What they have created here is much more than teaching our children martial arts, it’s created a place for our community to come together and grow in the best way possible 💛
Suncoast Martial Arts Academy is top notch! Whether you're looking for a master teacher in Aki Jujutsu, Tai Chi, Kali/Arnis, or Kung Fu you will find it here. This is a place where the novice or advanced practitioner can be challenged and taught to reach their potential as a martial artist. Highly recommended!!
Wonderful afterschool program and great summer camp! The principles of martial arts are well taught to the kids and they even learn skills such as meditation and conflict resolution. The sensei gives them valuable life lessons all while instructing on the proper use and technique of the martial arts. My son has really enjoyed being a student here.
My son has been attending Suncoast Martial Arts for almost three years. Learning martial arts there has helped him be more confortable in his body, have better self-control, and learn social skills. Instructor Eric has a lot of experience both in martial arts and in teaching children. He helps the kids grow in skills and maturity, in a spirit of respect of self and others. He builds their confidence, self-control and sense of responsibility. Suncoast Martial Arts also offers camps, family nights and grownup classes. Just give it a try and see for yourself!
Suncoast Martial Arts is simply a great place. While a humble abode, this place has love, learning, and culture in spades. Shihan Eric is incredible with the kids and is a very patient and effective teacher. Everyone else who works here is also super friendly. Along with martial arts, he teaches the kids life lessons, including resiliency, perseverance, respect, and the kids gain a lot of confidence as well. We tried a lot of different sports with my daughter (like just about all of the options in town), but coming here has been the once she's enjoyed the most by far. She adores this place and can't wait to come to class multiple times each week. Can't recommend enough.
