I have always done my own taxes, using TurboTax but had a horrible experience last year. This year I made an appointment at H&R Block for 9AM today. However, when I got there, there was another person there who was booked for the same preparer at the same time, AND we were both told that the preparer only works virtually. They couldn’t book another appointment because their computer system had melted down. Well, that was the universe telling me to get out of there as fast as possible. As I was driving home I saw this little tax preparation office on 7th that had an OPEN sign so I decided to stop in. I was greeted with a smile by LaLane, my guardian angel of taxes. She asked questions and found deductions that I had no idea I could take. I had the best experience, and got a great refund that I wasn’t expecting. LaLane was friendly and clearly very smart, and she made me feel comfortable and confident that things were being done correctly. I’m never going to do my own taxes again, and I’ll never go anywhere else. Thank you LaLane!
