This is a go to when I visit Melbourne for work. Have been here for the express lunch and more recently a delicious dinner. Food is tasty, the service is good and the venue is nice. Mid-week I’ve found it not too busy, which is pleasant.
“What’s that Italian restaurant called again?” It’s Tazio at Flinders Lane, Melbourne 👉 a cosy spot serving delicious handmade pasta and stone-baked pizza. The spiced sausage pasta with white pea purée whetted our appetite straight away, while the chicken was rich and comforting in a creamy porcini mushroom sauce. We also shared pizza, salad and beer, making it a satisfying dinner all around. We had our engagement party at Tazio and they made our night truly unforgettable. From start to finish, they went above and beyond to cater to every request and help our vision come to life. The food, drinks, and service were all outstanding. We received so many compliments on the delicious menu and the generous portions! Plus, everyone raved about how beautiful the venue is. Great place for pasta or pizza 🍕 I had the steak BISTECCA (g) 250g scotch fillet, parsnip puree, cime de rapa, salsa verde My friend had the pasta Spiced sausage, mushroom ragu, 'nduja, truffle butter The deserts are so good and delicious I had the Fig & date tart, chocolote avocado mousse, coconut cream, berries My Friend had the CHEESECAKE (v) Passionfruit, white chocolate, mango sorbet Highly recommend to everyone who likes Italian food 👍
I was in charge of finding all the food spots on a group visit to melbourne and to find an Italian spot that offers gluten free was a task. Decided on tazio and it did not disappoint. I ordered the lamb ragu and that was a hit, friends had the crab linguine and said it was one of the best they've had. Food, atmosphere were exceptional. Definitely recommend Tazio.
