Texas Goods Company has a great mix of character and charm. The selection of European antiques, rustic style decor, and unique gifts makes browsing feel like a little treasure hunt. There is a lot of personality in the items they choose, and it is easy to find something with a story behind it. The shop fits perfectly with the Dallas Farmers Market vibe and is a fun place to look around if you enjoy pieces with style and originality.
Not allowed to take photos of yourself here; male presenting guy working here mean mugged us with every photo I took documenting our trip. Percieved passive aggressive behavior an hour before closing. I dont recommend shopping here.
I was standing there using a table in the area and this old bat comes out. I said good morning kindly. No good morning, no nothing, just starts piling products on the table I was using with haste and irritation. News flash, a simple “excuse me” would make all the difference. Screw you.
Vacationing in Dallas with my family. We had lunch at the farmers market on memorial day and browsed the shops before leaving. Came across Texas Goods Company and found a hat that I really liked even though it was a bit pricey. Had questions about a few other things and was prepared to purchase. I took the items to an empty counter and waited for a few minutes. I looked around the store for someone and saw two other people who appeared to be customers as well. One of them was an older woman on the phone who absolutely saw me and the confused look on my face. I went back to the counter and waited several more minutes before she walked behind the counter, moved a few things around and continued her phone conversation while I was standing in front of the register with items in my hand!!! As she continues to completely ignore me I decide to put the items back and exit the store. She stayed on the phone with no reaction to someone putting stuff back and leaving. Was I supposed to put on a smock and ring myself up?? Hands down one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had, and I'm pretty old!! I realize my bad experience and long winded negative review means nothing to this place but I had to put it out there.
Overpriced postcards and poor selection. You can find them half the price ($1) at a shop on the corner across the street. Lady behind the counter does not look up until you come to the till and even then does not greet you. Hard pass if you are at the market.
