Food was terrible and dry Got it on 4th of July. Wanted smokey flavor but didn't feel like grilling the brisket meal and salmon both were dry and lacked flavor the Mac and cheese was burnt and it cost 50 dollars. Never again.
That Dude is awesome. Had the Carolina pork. It was delicious. You walk in and just know it's gonna be on point. And then it is. Used TGTG to scope it out, will definitely be heading back for more. Hope to be updating this with a review of the salmon and the beer selection which looks to be good based on the pictures.
Everything was simply mouthwatering! From the perfectly seasoned rib tips to the juicy jerk pulled chicken, every bite was a flavor explosion. But let me tell you about the sides—baby, they were everything! Creamy, tangy, savory—they hit every note and then some. We had the mac and cheese, candied yams, collards and kale. I loved everything but the kale. They were little too vinegary for my particular taste buds (hubs didnt mind). But when I sopped them up with the sweet cornbread it balanced it out nicely. And that cornbread was just how i like it- sweet with the surprise of fresh corn bits. It almost tasted cake like. Now, I know we all debate on sweet or non sweet cornbread, but this one was right up my alley to go with the acidic greens. And yes I said sopped cause I did! BBQ joints aren't always known for their sides, but That Dude knocked it out of the park! My hubby and I sat there in blissful silence, just savoring each bite, and trust me, that only happens when the food is out of this world! My only regret is that I have to wait until Friday to indulge again. Outstanding job!
I love some grilled food. Been hooked on his food ever since my husband brought me home a platter when he was outside of Buckets lounge. New location is 7-9 min from me which I am so excited about. The platters are $25 and Mr Dorian makes sure you get your money’s worth. Keep up the great work
Outstanding food at That Dude & His Food! The brisket was perfectly cooked—tender, juicy, and with a rich smoky flavor that melted in my mouth. It’s some of the best I’ve ever had. The salmon was equally impressive, perfectly cooked and moist. The flavors were beautifully balanced, making it a dish that stood out just as much as the brisket. All the sides are delicious too. It’s a Must-Visit. Place your order; you won’t be disappointed!
